Just returned from a long weekend in Columbus, Ohio. I thought I'd take off my bracelet before the trip to avoid any delay through security. But I can't remove it as I would feel naked without. It has been on since October 8th! Anyway, it did delay me daparting from Philadelphia and Columbus. Both times I was pulled aside for the "wand" and "pat down" search. In Philly they were totally familiar with the bracelet. Columbus was a little more difficult. I hate to go through this again next month when I travel. But I really don't want to remove it!

I am sorry, I know how you feel, after traveling so much I now dont wear a belt and when possible don't wear tennis shoes or closed shoes...just flip flops...I don't know which is worse, if having to stop to tie the laces of the shoes, or walk barefoot from going without the flip flops...I am traveling tomorrow and I always have to remove my silver tiffany key...

For all of you that have this problem... I have one and was in the same situation you were in with it always going off in airports. Then when I was flying out of NY one of the secuirty men showed me how to hold my arms and it won't go off!!!! You hold both of your arms out straight in front of your shoulders (Think walking like frankenstein lol). keep them like that as you walk into it. I have been walking through the metal detectors like this for 2 years and it hasn't gone off! It always used to! Try this it works 100%!

you know, as i've stated in the other discussions, my bracelet (which is a size 19) goes off every single time i have to walk through security—even at the passport agency. it's just something i've had to deal with and plan on when traveling. it sucks but like you op, i don't want to remove it and i've had mine since february 2008.

i thought it was funny when i was traveling out of heathrow a few weeks ago and the security officer that wanded me was like "oh the love bracelet, we get those a lot." i never get any heat in denver when i explain that i can't remove it, they just pull me to the side and have me wanded.

it won't be fun next year because with my new job, i will be doing a lot of traveling (pretty much once/month for the entire year).

sucks, but it's part of the security process i'm afraid.
