Bulgari Serpenti Watch… 2 tone or stainless steel?

I’m not a rose gold fan in general and I would say it’s a bit of a pet peeve of mine too to mix the yellow gold with rose however from online photos and what I remember of my friend’s 2 tone, the rose gold was not too pink. My e-ring is platinum!

For me the RG blended into my skin quite nicely, and I liked how that looked. I found the SS one too stark on me when I tried it in store.

If your ering is platinum imo you could wear the 2-tone with the rest of your YG jewellery, because your left hand would have the watch and your ering, where there’s no clash!

Whew I almost couldn’t find this thread! Haha

Tried them on today!
The lighting at the counter and in the tall mirror were a little different, and it was interesting to see.

Rose gold was more noticeable in-person vs photos.

And here’s YG just because haha.

Apologies that the TT ones were with diamonds, we were running late and the stores were closing, so I tried on what was available at the display.
But I hope it gave you a good enough idea!

Based on these photos, I think the 2-tone looks best. When the 2-tone watch plus the gold bracelet are on the same wrist, it gives a tri-tone look. The stainless plus gold bracelet just looks mismatched to me.

The 2-tone is more interesting as well. My vote is definitely for the 2-tone. Besides, if your friend is giving you a good deal, it might be the only time you can get a 2-tone watch (since you said it wouldn't ordinarily be in your budget). Sounds like a great opportunity!

... man, I love this watch.

I think the RG TT and YG TT actually look surprisingly similar, and the RG TT works with your love bracelet! So I think it would work for the OP too.

Hi everyone! I am looking for some guidance. An item that has long been on my wishlist is the Serpenti watch, I’ve started shopping around and I would love opinions on which one to get. I have a lot of yellow gold and white gold/platinum jewelry. I have a good friend who’s wanting to sell her very gently preowned 2-tone rose gold and stainless steel, she knows I’ve been wanting this watch and she would give me a pretty fabulous deal or I could buy the stainless steel version new. My question is, would rose gold go okay with my current yellow gold jewelry? I don’t own any rose gold nor do I see myself owning any other rose gold pieces. Or is the stainless steel a better bet? Obviously 2-tone yellow gold would be perfect but not in my budget. If anyone has photos of mixing jewelry with their Serpenti watches I would love to see them. Thanks so much!
Adding a picture just so my post doesn’t get lost.
So what did you end up choosing? Show us some inspo! 😊
