Serpenti viper ring owners! Do you find the ring comfortable for daily wear? I'd hate for the 'scales' to be uncomfortable against fingers beside it, or the head/tail to get caught in things. And, do you think it's too much / flashy for day-to-day wear?

I've been interested in the single coil, thin version.

You know I asked myself the same thing. It is a bit flashy but I think you can tone it down. I was wanting this ring for a while but ultimately decided it didn’t suit my style even though I love serpent jewelry - ages me a bit. Some ladies carry it well though. I do have a thin serpenti with MOP and diamonds (no head, just the band), and the scales take some getting used to with the ridges rubbing on the fingers. Once ur comfortable with it you get used to it.

I can’t speak for the one I was eyeing (single coil with the head with diamonds). Love that piece but I think Cartier jewelry still suits me a bit more.

Thanks so much for your reply! I haven't been able to try one on so I think once I do, I'll know better if it'll suit my style. In my head, I'm thinking it's simple and thin enough to be day-to-day and comfortable.

Are you looking for the diamond version or plain? Plain is ok for day to day, the diamond one is a bit more bling.

I bought my first Bulgari piece yesterday, the Serpenti Viper in rose gold. I’m realizing it fits slightly tighter than I would prefer. Will it loosen a bit because it’s flexible? I’m very aware of it being on my finger, and it leaves a tiny, tiny red indentation. Will this go away in time, or should I size up now? I bought a medium, which is 100% comfortable on my ring finger but is causing these problems on my middle finger—which is the finger where I want to wear it. Thank you! I’m not used to flexible rings!

For a brand new ring, I would size up now especially if you want to wear it on the middle finger. I have a serpenti viper gold with diamonds and the head and tail. Originally I thought it had loosened, but I was mistaken. I had lost some weight. I’ve had it now since 2021, and it’s pretty much the same. In the summer, when my fingers swell a bit, I sometimes wear it on my pinky (which is what I bought it for).

ETA: also, as one gets older, I think it’s more prudent to buy jewelry slightly larger, but that’s bc I have a bunch of things I can no longer fit into. Of course, YMMV :)

Seeing that it is still winter and it feels tight on your finger, I too would probably go a size up. Your fingers will swell up more during the summer.

Having said that, it can vary from person to person.
I wear my rings so often, that my fingers actually become more narrow. So for my Bvlgari and JUC ring, they are both loose and I wear them stacked.
I feel safer wearing them during the summer when my fingers are more swollen.

When it gets cold (and especially when I am dehydrated), pretty much all of my rings are loose, and I need to wear stopper rings. :P

Thank you for helping to guide me through Bulgari, @lill_canele! I'm used to wearing rings solely on my ring finger. The idea of having options and a ring being able to fit more than one finger is throwing a wrench in the works---but a fun wrench!
