I got an official reply to my query as to whether macri effect can be restored, from buccellati. In case anyone else is wondering ♡

"

The light spreads elegantly over the semi-matt surface created by Gianmaria Buccellati 40 years ago and known worldwide as the 'Rigato' technique.

To achieve this 'fabric effect', a master goldsmith engraved the entire precious surface, strip by strip, entirely by hand.

When a model is not available, we offer our customers the possibility of having it made to special order in one of our boutiques or official dealers by a craftsman, and we confirm the waiting time, which is currently about 8 months.

Buccellati jewellery is meant to be worn every day and therefore certainly durable.

Since we care passionately about each of our sophisticated creations, we have put together a series of tips, that you can find in the care advices section, or below, to help you take care of your beloved bracelet.

Should the need arise to have your Macri bracelet re-engraved or to repair any accidental scratches, you will always have the possibility to visit any official Buccellati boutique or retailer , where you will be able to request an after-sales service that will bring your bracelet back to the high standards of our Maison."

@sassifcation, is the bracelet comfortable? I am thinking of adding a WG piece.
Are you already wearing bangles? This is my first hard bangle. I am used to soft bracelets like VCA 5 motifs but this is comfortable to me after i got used to it..

I would think may be less comfortable if conpared to Cartier Love bangle but it is acceptable as i prefer the opening mechanism

Ooh, I’m also interested in this brand. I really liked the opera color collection. (Especially the bracelet, which I actually liked a bit more than Alhambra.) But I never bought it, because I never knew anyone who bought from the brand and don’t have a store near me. Sadly, it seems that the opera color line was discontinued once Richemont acquired the company.

@sassification , i have a cartier clash. Actually i prefer bangles to bracelet. I am looking for a WG bangle to match my WC frivoles pendant and earring.
I have explored cartier love as well. Like you, i dont like the opening of the regular Love. Buccellati 5mm bracelet seems to look nice on its own.
Have you tried/considered the 8 5mm one?

I havent tried or considered rhe 8mm as my wrist is thin and i prefer thin bangles. 5mm is perfect as i got the one with diamonds and i find the engravings perfectly spaced. The 3mm one is too cluttered and the 8mm too wide for my personal pref.

I love the cartier clash but it is a very edgey look and i am rather feminine in my dressing most of the time.

If i got a love bangle, it would be the small Love. But in full pave. Haha but the price is not something I would shell atm.

I tried Cartier love cuff, it was so painful.. chaumel BML was my other consideration but the opening was so narrow and the clasp feel filmsy or finnicky to me

For the WG bracelet, i am looking for one that is substantial enough on its own, and not for stacking.
I am on the round side, so the small love does not look nice on me. Chaumel BML has been in my radar previously. But their prices have been increasing by a lot for the past 2 yrs. I dont think i am willing to pay for the half pave BML (as of now... )

I guess i really need to visit the boutique and try out the bangles! Hope e WG is in stk!

Good luck! I think this 5mm or 8mm is good enough on its own. My hunch is u may prefer 8mm

Same, i dont feel the Chaumet BML half pave is worth the price as the mirrored finish will get scratched. As much as i like the honeycomb design

Hello everyone, I came across this photo on google search and I feel in love with this macri bracelet. My question is, is it a fantasy piece? They do not have the design on their website nor can I find it online. I am holding out hope because they do have this design in a ring form. Do any of you knowledgeable ladies know if it is a fantasy and if not can steer me in the right direction to where I can buy bracelet? IMG_0220.jpeg
