None of this makes any sense and sounds a bit twisted to me. You state he broke his arm in the process and "serves him right". Now you are coming across as being vindictive and taking satisfaction in his breaking his arm. Maybe the entire thread needs to be deleted.

Don't answer this here, but one might ask - which of his own possessions did/does he also destroy? If it is only your stuff that bears the brunt of the rage then any defense of him is likely unwarranted. Maybe it's not really your question about what to do with the bag that brought you to raise it here - maybe you wanted a litmus test to others' reactions to your story? You've gotten some feedback...
