Do you have any of the clinics information that does sculptra in the butt area.

I asked different surgeons when i inquired about this that using sculptra and other fillers for the butt area can be quite dangerous because you have to use a large amount and it could go into the blood stream. I believe on real self some surgeons spoke about that too. Also in Korea, it seems many surgeons recommend using breast implants for the butt. I kid you not. I had 2 surgeons suggest that to me.

I did some research a while back and more or less decided that Korea is not a great place to get a Brazilian butt lift. More places are offering fat transfers these days, but implants are still more common, which I think speaks to the lack of confidence in the procedure. And the most famous buttock augmentation clinic specialises in using Sculptra. Plus, Korean butt aesthetics are not very close to what I'd consider my ideal. Half of the time, I was looking at the after-result photos thinking they were the before shots...

I also looked into Thailand. The level of confidence among surgeons seemed to be higher than in Korea; some were saying they had performed hundreds of BBLs. But most of the doctors I contacted were only willing to discuss the procedure in really broad terms without a consultation. (Which I understand, but I'm not going to fly to all the way Thailand for a consultation if I can't see patient results etc beforehand.)

I thought Dr. Yap in the Philippines has some really impressive BBL before/afters on his Instagram. But he also has some pretty scathing reviews on this forum, so I left it at that.

And there are some very positive reviews on RealSelf about Dr Gavin Chan in Melbourne (I live in Australia), but he's not a Board-certified plastic surgeon.

So, back to square one for me. If I lived in America, I'd most likely choose to do it there (or even Latin America), but there aren't many options in Australia unfortunately. I'd be interested in hearing about other people's experiences with the procedure too.

Have you tried Dr Mitchell Kim? Check out his IG.

Breast implants? I can’t even imagine LOL. I was curious about sculptra because I thought it was just natural collagen.

I too initially wanted to travel to the US for mine but due to Covid, I opted to go ‘local’ and went with Dr Mitchell Kim in QLD. BEST DECISION EVER. I’m 5 weeks post op and absolutely thrilled with my results.

How many ccs did he use for each cheek? My result was great at first but resorped over the years sadly. I was told to have best results minimum 400 cc 200 each side. I only had enough fat for 300 150 each side -_-

I had 1.2L transferred to each side- buttocks and hips. I think the resorption rate is approx 30-50%, depending on surgical technique.
How long ago did you have yours done? 150 seems like an extremely small amount.

holy crap 1.2l is 1200cc how did you manage so much. Mine was done about 5 years ago. It lasted good for the first 2 years or so then just shrank exponentially lol. Yeh I didnt have enough fat to put anymore unfortunately. they took it from my abodomen my love handles my back. Couldnt take from my thighs cos I have no fat there. its all muscle tone for some god damn reason -_-

Wait did you go to dr Kim also? I’ve had a closer look at his portfolio and can’t find any that have received less than 1L each side. On top of that, my bum isn’t big at all (by stereotypical BBL standards). He’d given me more shape than volume.
I’ve attached a photo of me straight after surgery. It has gone done quite a bit since then.
Have you lost weight since yours?

Nono i did mine in korea. I literally didnt have enough body fat. Its not about the surgeon in my case. If the patient doesnt have enough fat to harvest then the results unfortunately won't be the best. I had fat taken out from everywhere possible lol and it was still minuscule. The best fat is from the thighs but i have really skinny toned thighs so we couldnt use the far from there.

I had NO BUM before the surgery haha. He sucked some from my back to give me more of a curvey contour so that was good.

Yeh i believe at the time i went from 58kg down to 55/56? My waist belts all were too loose for me after surgery

I'm interested in hip surgery too.
I found this "pelvic plasty" at ysbarochuk if anyone ever heard of this.

So it works by widening your pelvic bone instead of putting implants/fat transfer. Because they say that there are often complications with implants? Is this true?

What do you think of this?

I Got Dermal md Glute Booster Cream especially for my hips and I have seen some progress! I put the cream on morning and night and you feel some time of stimulation. My hip dips have decreased a little but a still noticeable. I measured my hips and they were at 39.4 in and now I am 40in. I am almost out of the bottle. Along with the cream I am also doing hip workouts and hopefully I will see my hips become more full!

yeh can you imagine how odd that would feel? As it is I can feel the weight difference with my breast implants. I would want that in my booty too. Im not sure why they would even suggest that

The round butt implants look very similar to round breast implants but it's not just a matter of putting the implant it, you have to sculpt your waist and do fat injections to produce the Kardashian butt that everyone is looking for. Most Asians have a flat area just above the butt and you need to go to a skilled doctor to shape you, otherwise you will not be happy with the end result.
The Koreans docs are not up to speed even with different types of butt implants which they can purchase.

Hey! Great to see a fellow Melbournian on here.
I’m planning to travel to Cali to get a BBL at the end of this year /start of next year done by Dr Ron Hazani (board certified, Harvard graduate). I went with him because in all honesty, he was one of very few I had come across that produces natural (but still hourglass) figures and he does ‘skinny bbl’. He wasn’t my first choice though, Dr Sej was but he charges $30K usd.
The reason why dr Hazani wasn’t my first choice is because he gives a lot of his patients ‘laterals’ unless they specifically express they want hips and not laterals (too much laterals and you begin to take the shape of a wisdom tooth..think stassiebaby and Nikita dragun).
I’m surprised Gavin isn’t board certified.

Hi fellow Aussies if it's not too late!
GO TO THE BEST Dr_Mitchell_Kim on Insta as mentioned by @Lien
Dr Kim part of the Cosmos Clinic franchise. He's based at Gold Coast. If you do you surgery in Seoul you can't sit for up to 2 weeks and even then you have to use a poppy or bbl pillow. Imagine 11 hour flight back to OZ from Seoul or 19 hour flight back from the US.
Dr Kim is the BUTT GOD and is up there with the best and safest in the world. Think safety first. He does heaps. If you don't have enough fat, he advise you to put on weight to achieve your goals.
Dr Erfan Rahbar (on Insta drerfanrahbar) also part of Cosmos Clinic but based in ADELAIDE which is closer to Melb. He's excellent too but Dr Kim has more patients. Both have influencers and celeb clients.
Cosmos have payment plans too.

That's the problem with any fat grafting. You probably need another round.
