Long, but good detailed article, one of the many that dispels the myth of innocent angel Brad and evil Angie.

I’m not surprised. It wasn’t a great movie. Both seemed to be going through the motions and the script was written to align with their formulaic style of banter.

I just mentioned to DH that there will be no part two. He asked me if we had watched it and couldn’t remember a thing about the movie. It was pretty forgettable.

I know these actors are having fun and cashing huge pay cheques, but it's never something that appeals to me. I want actors to work hard and disappear in their roles.

Yeah, theses two are overrated. I've always thought so throughout the years.

The ones I like are the real artists and they make movies then disappear from limelight to recover then prepare for the next role.

Do you actually think that those two actually care about their so-called craft?
They are movie stars, not actors, imo.

I liked George in the first Oceans movie (2001). His eyes, when he asks his ex Julia Roberts/Tess "Does he make you laugh?" and she says "He doesn't make me cry." Liked him in The Descendents (2011) as a husband/father in crisis, with Robert Forster (an OG á la Steve McQueen).

Brad was excellent as War Daddy in Fury (2014), the WWII tank crew movie, with Shia LaBeouf, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal and Logan Lerman. They all were amazing.

Other than those roles, I agree, movie stars rather than actors.
