Bracelet or pendant for a friend (practically a sister)

I think a 6 prong would give more of an illusion to a larger stone. a 4 prong can make it look cushion or princes cut

But wouldn't that overwhelm the diamonds?

I completely agree with both and so would say three prong; when looking at diamonds I don't see the point of spending the money unless you're making the most of the stones with the settings.

Side note; I have a 1 ct pendant that I hunted for over years (certain styles are rare in the UK) and love it but even I am with the consensus to go for a tennis bracelet :smile1: good choice.

i think the tennis bracelet is a great choice...every time she looks at her wrist she will think of you guys! great idea:)
i think 3 prongs is so elegant...makes the diamonds stand out more

Six prong will definitely give the illusion of larger diamonds. However, all of my round brilliant stones are set in four prong settings and they are really secure and you can still tell the shape of the stones. I would agree with your Jeweller that as it is a bracelet you should maybe consider more prongs on the bracelet for security of the stones. I have been having a look around and it is easier to find tennis bracelets in a four claw setting in the UK. Out of interest, how many claws is the diamond set in your Friends engagement ring? You could also consider getting a bracelet to complement her ring? You need to show your friend this thread after the wedding. You have put so much thought and love in to this gift. It is really lovely xxx

Hi everyone!

So my closest friend who's like a sister I don't have is getting married!! Pretty soon!
And me and a few friends want to put some money together and get her either a small tennis bracelet or a pendant as a gift!

So we have put some money together 4 of us and out budget is enough for either a 2-2.5 total carat weight tennis bracelet or a nice 0.75 carat solitaire pendant.

She doesn't have either, she has a beautiful 1carat soliatre engagement ring with pave setting on the band.

Which do you think would compliment her ring or which do you think would be worn more?

I have a 3carat tennis bracelet which I wear a lot and currently in the process of finding a stone for a pendant.

I don't know which to get.

Any advice? She wears necklaces and bracelets a lot so either would be suitable
I think this is a very good idea that you want to give someone a gift. If I were you then definitely I would have gone with bracelet. I think 2-2.5 carat weight bracelet would be a great gift. So the bracelet will be suitable for him.
