Congrats on your promotion!
I voted for the love in your case. The negatives are not big deals to me. I do not find the bracelet loud, if anything it is very casual and goes with everything and many will have no clue what brand it is. Those that do know it will not blink an eye at it. I also do not have issues working out with mine on (I wear my 3 daily and run most mornings). I actually love that bracelet does not come off and then I always look put together with jewellery on even in sweats. I see many other runners where I live wearing loves - including one I see all the time with a full pace regular live and thin love stacked. The scratches do not bother me and my bracelets more have a patina (oldest is 10 years old now). The design is still beautiful with scratches and the bracelets are meant to be worn everywhere and anywhere.
Also, I agree with others that you seem to prefer the love over the options and it will go beautifully with your JUC.
As for another suggestion I also love the 5 motif gold motif bracelet. It would go with your JUC, and it is removable or you can leave it on as daily piece which many do. It will not get scratched, less notice or and goes with sweatpants and fancy dresses.

I purchased a rose gold Love last summer. I am extremely casual, we're talking jeans and tshirts/sweaters pretty much every day. I think this bracelet is so simple and classic it goes with everything! My Love is like a part of me now, I've never taken it off since day one. I was a bit doubtful like you, worrying about scratches etc. but tbh, the daily scuffs it receives don't detract from it one bit. The gold is so lustrous that the scuffs just don't matter. I promise, that unless you are extremely precious about your jewelry, you will barely notice them as the Love becomes a part of you and your history, if that makes any sense! I think if you purchased one, you won't want to take it off. Working out, showering, swimming etc just won't affect it. And with your workouts and daily activities, it's unlikely you're going to be giving it any significant deep scratches, you'd have to be extremely unlucky to hit it that hard and in just the right place. Plus it's thick and has a lot more heft than the Signature, so it's easily polished although to my understanding it's not something that should (or needs) be done frequently.

As for people noticing and judging, I have never had a single person comment on it. But that probably says more about the area where I live because it's very rural. I personally don't think the Love is loud enough to attract attention because unless you know fine jewelry, it's just a simple bangle in the eyes of most people.

The VCA signature is gorgeous though, I'd love to have both as they'd stack so well, but that is a piece I would not want to wear on the daily.

I would really consider the Love Cuff. I am a weightlifter and I did not like wearing the love bracelet, even though I would wrap it up with wrist wraps. When I traveled to Africa last year, I finally took it off after several years on. I did not want to travel to Africa with something that expensive that I could not take off easily in case I was robbed.

ETA: Congrats on your promotion too!

Have you considered a Love cuff?
I have the cuff with one diamond and it’s my best luxury purchase. I would give it another chance. Looks like it would still give you the beauty of the Love design but with the flexibility of taking it off. I have no regrets as it stacks well, can be taken off in a second, and looks amazing.

Thank you all! I will definitely give the love cuff a second chance and try it on next time I'm in the boutique!

I bought the love cuff and later a signature perlee. I am usually a love bangle type person, clean lines and bold look. Then I found the squared off edges not that comfortable on my wrist. I bought the perlee and was surprised at how very comfortable it is. Love that I can take it off. That is a deal breaker for me cause I workout.

@EpiFanatic I love your mod shots with your signature perlee - it was a big reason why this one is on my list! I'm just concerned because the large was a little snug when I tried it on :(

I prefer the love bracelet over the perlee. Now, that said, I don’t know if either of these bracelets are the best choice for you given the list of cons for each. If I were you, I’d maybe consider other options.

Have you seen the clash (Cartier)? It’s beautiful and not recognizable since it’s a fairly new design- And you can take it on and off daily. Or perhaps check out bangles from a different place like Tiffany’s, etc.

Thank you! I worry that you're right that neither of these are the best choice... The clash is so cool, but I don't think it's an everyday bracelet for me. I haven't tried it on before, though, so I'll definitely try it when I'm in the boutique! As far as other bangles, the only ones that have caught my eye are the Hermes Kelly and CDC bracelets, but I'm waiting to purchase one of those. If there's anything specific that comes to mind as an everyday bangle please do let me know :)

I would look at Hermès Kelly or CDC braceletS. It’s less recognized and can be taken off easily. I have the Love, JUC and CDC and no one knows the CDC. It’s great if you want to wear it to work but be under the radar as far as recognition. I would only get the Hermès pre owned because their prices are crazy for retail and sell used for way less used than Cartier.

Love the Hermes Kelly and CDC bracelets! I had only considered getting one from the boutique to build up my purchase history (since I'm not all that interested in homewares, silks, RTW), but I'll keep my eye out on pre owned sites!

Congrats on your promotion! I was promoted (a major career milestone in my industry) in December as well so I got myself the 5 motif gold bracelet.

I would go with the Love Bracelet if I were you. I also try not to be super loud about my designer things at work and to be honest, no one really notices. I only had one person noticed my thin love bracelet and she was a middle-aged mom type who loved to gossip and pry about people's personal lives. Otherwise, no one noticed / cared. I started wearing my designer handbags to work more because of that, and again, no one cared / said anything.

I exercise with my thin love bracelet on (I do boxing and barre). I found that it scratches really easily with just normal daily wear so wearing it to exercise doesn't really make it more scratched compared to normal.

From your description, it sounds like you truly love the Love Bracelet and are considering the Perlee bracelet as a consolation prize. Don't settle! Go for the one you really love. If you get the Perlee bracelet, your heart might still call for the Love bracelet and you'll eventually have to add it to your collection too. That's been my personal experience!

I think you are right that the Love bracelet is the style I gravitate towards most! I think you're right that if I went with the Perlee, I would still be thinking about the Love. And congratulations on your promotion as well!

Beautiful bracelets! That is a love cuff? I didn't realize the bangle and the cuff styles are so similar from the top angle. I will definitely consider the love cuff!

Thank you! I agree, I don't think surface scratches would bother me too much - I was more worried about deep scratches from banging it hard against a weight or something. But it sounds I shouldn't be as worried about that as I thought. And you are right, the love is the one that really speaks to me!

That's a great point about it being heftier than the Signature, part of what I like about it so much! I think the Love is really what I am gravitating towards, just need to determine if the bangle or the cuff is better for what I'm looking for.

Thank you all SO MUCH for your thoughtful responses. I love the VCA forum the most on TPF for all the lovely and helpful members

So after reading all of your responses, I think I am leaning towards the Love style, and will definitely try the cuff and the thin version when I'm in the boutique. I'm also hoping to get an Hermes Kelly or CDC bracelet later on down the line.

Alright I couldn’t wait to go try on, so what do you think? I tried on a YG and a PG regular love and a WG love cuff because they didn’t have YG or PG.

Verdict on the cuff: love how it looks from the top but when the bottom gets twisted around, the bottom of my wrist hangs out and I did not like it :(

Verdict on the small love: it just doesn’t look nice on be because I have bigger wrists and it looks like a little girl’s bracelet

Verdict on the loves: actually the same size as my JUC is better than one size up. Now I am wondering if YG or PG is better (YG is closer to my wrist). Still thinking about whether this is practical for me.

thoughts? Sorry I know this is a VCA forum but my SA doesn’t have the Perlee signature in stock in my size. Reattaching the perlee clover for reference.

I find fit and comfort to be above everything else so if the VCA is noticeably snug, I'd say it's out. This sounds like something you'd like to get a lot of use out of, so it should fit perfectly. Some bangles are just the wrong shape/size for some people.

I personally feel claustrophobic not being able to freely take a bracelet off when I want so I could never own the Love bracelet, but I do like the look of it and you're right that it can be dressed up or down.

Cartier rose gold will eventually fade and turn more into yellow gold, so I don't think you have to be too stressed about choosing yellow or rose gold.

I definitely think the regular love bracelet looks better than you compared to the love cuff. I personally don't like the love cuff - I love the romantic story behind the love bracelet and the cuff I feel has nothing to do with that. I would get the regular love bracelet if I were you.

That's a great point. I don't think I'll get full enjoyment out of something that doesn't fit me perfectly.

And I have the same concern about the love! I'm going to try to wear my JUC for a few days without taking it off to see how that goes... but I know they are different shapes so maybe I'm better off getting an inexpensive bangle of a similar shape to wear for a few days instead.

Thank you for your input - that's a great point about the rose gold. I'm going to try wearing a bracelet 24/7 for a few days to see how I feel about it.

So the shape of the cuff does not seem to suit your wrist. And the perlee bangle is not a comfortable size. And the pave bangle, maybe you can tolerate 24/7 or maybe you can’t. I agree with you. If none of them actually work for your life, you won’t end up wearing them no matter how much you love the idea of wearing it. Being open to a non-VCA non-Cartier option might be a good idea for now.
