"Boutique experience" or shopping online?

I had a great boutique experience in Florence, but Rome was okay. However, when I got back home to the states and went to my local LV store (U.S) I was barely greeted when we walked in. The CAs here weren’t as friendly or helpful as the ones I encountered in Italy so I’ve been shopping online. I think it really depends on the location you go to and the individual CAs.

Yes Shopping online or telephone order is very efficient! Just make sure to ask the SA for photos first.

boutique experience, for any brand, can be a hit or miss. i think it all depends on the location or the sales associates available. one of the LV boutiques closest to me makes clients wait in a line to even speak to a sales associate, which i thought was ridiculous, especially because it wasn't a holiday period and i was the only one there at ten am on a weekday.

with louis vuitton, i prefer online shopping much more than boutiques because the items i'm looking for are hard to find/ not readily available. i've done the shop online, pick up in store option multiple times and experienced much better customer service that way. the sales associates show you what you're picking up before they wrap it and you have an opportunity to ask them questions or start a conversation.

So far I only bought LV pieces online and I don't feel the urge to go to boutique but I'm considering going just to see how it works. Another thing is that when you buy local you might get a piece that was previously looked at, touched, tried etc. Nothing wrong with this but I'm just weird so I would prefer to get the piece straight from warehouse. I always asked for this before buying no matter what. I assume if you buy online you're getting piece that might not always be made last week but you're getting fresh piece that has not been touched before except for someone who packed it lol
