Bottega Veneta Repair process

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I dropped the bag off today at the BV store. The SA said the repair department causes a lot of frustration: stores don't have a phone number to be able to contact them directly so everything has to be done via email and the repair team is short staffed so they often just don't reply. I was given a quote of 8-12 weeks for my bag, but she said it could be longer depending on where they send it for repair (could be NY or Italy) and how busy the team there is.

Update: I picked up my bag today, a little less than 2 months after dropping it off. BV repaired the glazing on the strap, and while it doesn’t quite look as good as new, I’m no longer worried about it peeling and cracking even more. Once I brought the bag into the boutique it was a smooth process.

Sorry to hear about these experiences with Modern. Our experiences will vary &
interesting enough, Modern did a repair on my Cabat & it was better than expected & they also did a
repair on a BV knot that I had with hematite corners that I inadvertently dropped, they were able
to hammer the dent out & I was pleased.
Rago Brothers has a good reputation & perhaps Docride who is also a bag specialist may have
a suggestion.
BV really needs to step up to the plate with their communication in regard to repairs.
Good luck with your repair, @dreamlet

Oh no, has MLG fallen out of favor? Is Rago Bros the one to recommend these days?

I need handles on my Cabat replaced and thought MLG would still be the go-to since they did BV repairs for so many years.
