Ok I have scoured and searched high and low the Borough Clubhouse, but haven't really gotten the answer I need. Does anyone have any insight into the size of the mini Borough? Was thinking about buying it but I'm afraid it may be a tad small but that the small may be a tad big. I really just want it for my wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, and maybe a toy for my two year old, lol! Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm very petite and love the look of the mini, but just wondering if it's practical. Anyone own it and love it/hate it? Thanks!!!

I don't own it, and have no idea on the size of the bag either; however, judging by the borough's restricted opening from the zippers, it'd make the mini feel even smaller than its actual measurements. Just a thing to keep in mind...

True. That did cross my mind. She's just so darn cute! I just hate to pay that much for just a "going out dress up" bag. I'd like to enjoy her.

It depends on the size of your wallet and the toys you might carry. I usually use a smaller wallet with mine, but can squeeze a full size one into a pocket if I try. Essentially I put a small wallet in one pocket, a mini umbrella in the middle pocket (I assume about the size of your sunglasses), and a medium skinny with my keys attached in the last pocket. I can fit my phone or a couple small items in with my wallet.

I have several mini boroughs. The pebbled leather ones (i.e. alpine moss) seem to have more "give" than others, IMO. I use them primarily in the summer & can pretty easily fit a full size Brighton wallet (Nolita Shimmer lg wallet) in one zip compartment; then my keys, ID badge, a few tissues & a lip gloss in the other. I tend to leave the middle zip compartment open & slip my phone (Galaxy S5) in there. It can be a tight fit but I am pretty easily annoyed when a purse doesn't fit my daily needs & have never felt that way with this. That all said, given your desire to have a couple toys on hand, it may be a tight fit. I do also have the small size in the winter floral pattern & it is bigger but a very managable size. I don't care for the turnlocks on the zippers on this one though so I tend not to use it much.
Good luck with your decision & possible search...I LOVE my boroughs (carrying the large soft in black for the last week) & really wished they would have kept the style.

That sounds about like what I carry. Do you or anyone happen to know if the small is meant to be worn crossbody or just shoulder?

I'm 5'3, sz 8 and I can easily wear the non-turnlock minis crossbody (turnlock mini is too short for crossbody). Something to keep in mind is that the straps are thin. The small ones seem to have wider adjustable straps, although i don't own one, so don't know this for sure.

Oh I'm good at packing the mini-Borough ... I have four ... love them. I just took some pics; hubby is pulling them off the camera quickly for me. Back in a sec.

The thing with the mini-Borough, is that even though you have three pockets, the dividing walls between those pockets (at least on the three-zip models) are a very forgiving fabric. So yes, "organization", but the dividing walls will mould around however *you* want to pack it. If you want to put something big in the bottom of one pocket ... ok, the walls will just move out of the way ... if that makes sense.

First pic is everything that will be going into it.

Next pic is what I call the back pocket: My spare keys with small loyalty-cards (it's a pretty bulky key set) go in the rounder pocket. Clip on sunglasses and pack of kleenex in the slip pocket. Well-filled wristlet next to slip pocket. My bronze metallic Lodis long case is behind the wristlet (you can't see it though because I see the fabric dividing wall has kind of bubbled forward over top of it. Trust me, it's back there. My comb is also underneath all these things. And I could put a little more on top in this pocket if I wanted to.

Next pic is the middle pocket. Daughter's epi pen goes at the bottom, main set of keys on top. (Where that epi pen is, is where I'd probably put sunglasses, if I used a full set instead of my little clip-ons.) This pocket is also where I traditionally shove receipts while shopping.

Next pic is front pocket, with an LV small zippy, LV cles, and my flip phone. I could also switch out the zippy/cles and use my small empreinte wallet instead. Orrr, a small Coach wallet and mini-skinny.

All zippers glide easily closed, and as I said, I could probably put a little more in. The thing is, like I said, even though it's divided in three, those fabric walls will mould to your dividing your contents just about any way you want to.

The only caveate I'd give is that the suede-and-glove-tanned mini-Borough is a little less forgiving. Construction is the same on that one, but it doesn't use zippers along the top. It uses magnetic closures that are not quite as strong as magnetic snaps. As a result, filling too full overcomes the power of the magnets and the closures might try to open.

Oh wow thank you! This is VERY helpful! It looks like you can pack a lot into the mini! It is a gorgeous bag!!!

PS, I noticed it doesn't look like your wallet is very big. Mine is a full size Coach, not a full zip around huge one but pretty big. Do you think it would fit comfortably? I hate to change wallets! Thanks!

I had the mini borough with the 3 zippers and it was a tad too small for me. However I got one of the mini turnlock boroughs that were redesigned with the open middle and that worked out fantastic. You may want to look at the two different designs and see which works better for you.

Thank you for this info!!! I LOVE the floral borough and actually that's what led me to the Borough in the first place. I just like something small and easy when I'm out and about with my son. I usually have a big diaper bag in the car too. Is there a lot of difference between the mini and small in your opinion?

The turn lock with the open middle is the one I'm interested in. I just wish there was a size between mini and small! If only Coach would let us design our own bags then custom make them for us!!!

Full size zip around accordion wallets (I use those as example because I have a number of them that I rotate among my wallets) ---- fit in *theory*, in the zipped sections, but not in practicality.

What I mean is, the front and back zip sections can accommodate an accordion in length, but getting it in and out would start to drive you up the wall. It's not so tight that won't fit .... but it *is* tight enough that when you pull the accordion wallet out, the bag lining sometimes tries to come out as well.

But I'm using Coach zip around accordion wallets as my measuring tool because I do have many of those.

Alternatively, I just tried it with this wallet of mine ... (pic in attachment below). It's just the teeniest-tiniest bit smaller than a zip around accordion, and it slides in and out of the front or back zip pockets without issue. ..... Really, it's only the slightest bit smaller than an accordion, and it's fine. So I guess I'd need to know exactly what wallet wer'e talking about?

And also alternatively, as twilight said, the ones with the *non-zip* pocket in the middle, should not have a problem.

I emphasize again ... even the zip around accordion *DOES* work with the length of the bag. It's just that pulling it in and out, in the zippered pockets, pulls the lining with it. So if we're talking about the style with a middle pocket without the zipper, it should work fine in that middle pocket without dragging along the lining.
