I do agree with Ame about the sparkle factor and the cut. My Art Deco watch with achtcants sparkles like crazy. Probably more than my modern cut tennis bracelet though that is a new piece to me and I am in love with it, I have to admit that single cuts can be beautiful, that said, I do not think I grade will be eye clean. SI3 is a non-existent grade, they really are I1-s, it is really a deceitful term to use in jewelry. It is fine to like lower grades, way back when I was only starting to study at GIA I too had a pendant that was I grade, today I never would buy such a piece because since I have become a gemologist I do understand how susceptible these stones are to any damage. Now in tiny diamonds that are really inexpensive you can go for one if you like the look, everyone can get what they like but also I have changed in a way that I would rather save up for a piece I will really love than get many because they sound like a deal. Also, though many professionals in the field are against names and brands I have to admit I really love DBTY and many other pieces that high end brands make. They will definitely mean quality (in most cases at least, I did have to mention it here since I had a bad experience with a diamond falling out of a high end brand made piece I own, it can happen but it is less likely). Also as a person who loves vintage and antiques I often notice the difference in how much better branded pieces withstanding time, not to mention the workmanship put into the pieces and of course the designs. DBTY to me really represents less is more, it is simply perfect understated elegance. Very hard to design such a piece to perfection but I have considered getting one myself.
