Congratulations You’ve made great decision. Have you started selecting stones yet/? What are your parameters your looking atWow, they are stunning!!!! I have a courier picking up mine for their return tomorrow and I will purchase a build your own pair instead.I ultimately decided it was worth the effort and loss of customs money to have a pair that are GIA graded.
My parameters are ideal cut, with excellent polish and symmetry, and ideal depth and table measurements. The standard pair I’m returning were I colour and I2 clarity, I’m considering remaining with I colour and jumping just up to SI2 clarity in order to keep the cost down. (Keep in mind that these are going to be only 0.74 ctw as I only want a very small pair for daily use). One of the Blue Nile representatives told me on a pair that size I wouldn’t even be able to notice the difference between ideal and good cut, so I’m thinking if I go for the ideal cut and measurements, SI2 clarity will not be an issue on diamonds that are so small?Congratulations You’ve made great decision. I wouldn’t go lower than SI1 because the inclusions could affect the light performance. You can go as low as J for studs because they are viewed from distance and they will face up white especially at that sizeMy parameters are ideal cut, with excellent polish and symmetry, and ideal depth and table measurements. Thanks for the helpful advice. Would faint fluorescence in an I colour be a problem or not at all?I wouldn’t go lower than SI1 because the inclusions could affect the light performance.
