My dh and I are about to celebrate a very big anniversary, and my darling husband will be giving me a Kelly (should the right one magically appear on the H horizon)! I just got a call saying that a 32 cm Kelly just arrived in Blue Hydra (evercolor). I had asked for a blue, but have never seen this particular shade in real life. I'm running down to see it this afternoon. I have an etain epsom kelly and a black epsom kelly (along with a electric blue constance and a blue sapphire victoria II). I would LOVE to hear whether people who have blue hydra bags find they work well with their wardrobes, and how evercolor leather stands up to the test of time/climate, etc. I had requested togo because I wanted something hardier than epsom.

Hi there! If you love brights, this might be ideal for you. You MUST go check it out! For me personally, I was too color shy to make blue hydra in ever color leather work. It is gorgeous, but in this leather, I found it to be particularly bright due to the way this leather takes the dye. If you aren't color shy, you may just fall n love with it. Happy, Happy Anniversary!! Good luck and please keep us posted on what you decide.

Thank you SO much for your response, luckylove! I'm afraid I may fall into the same "color shy" camp as you. I just took my dogs out for a walk to ponder it, and I just have a sinking feeling it won't be right. Now I'm not sure if I should even tempt myself by going to take a look at it!

BH is in the POP color family. Def not a traditional blue in any sense of the word and you can't be shy carrying BH.
For a color-lover like me (& panthere55), it is fabulous! Look at my avatar :)
As far as the leather, I do not have experience with Evercolor so I can't provide any input on that.

It is definitely IS a pop color Israeli_Flava, and I gasped when my SA brought it out of the box! It took me an hour of carrying it into different sources of light in the store, as I wanted to make sure it wasn't too shocking for me to carry in natural daylight. I live in a city where 99.9% of the time, most of us are dressed in varying shades of grey, black, and blue. Having said that, I bought a bright orange winter coat this year, and I get compliments on it a dozen times a week. So that coat has helped nudge me out of my usually staid color zone. I have brought the blue hydra Kelly home to try out for two days just to see how it works with my wardrobe. I know there is a long lineup forming behind me if it ends up not working for me, but I'm optimistic that it will!
