I just received this bag yesterday and the leather is much softer than the soho I think it’s more like the Marmont leather

Ohhh, I'm excited! I've been looking for a replacement for my Soho Disco, since it showed defects last year. The leather started peeling in different places. 
Unfortunately there was no replacement available anymore as they were discontinued.
Do you think the leather will scratch easily? I found that I could do everything with my Soho and not worry about scratches!

I went to check out this bag in the boutique today, thinking I would eventually buy it in orange if I liked it. I wasn't crazy about it. The quality of the leather is nice, but I didn't like the way the tassel lays. No matter what you do, it sticks out oddly and won't lay nicely. This bag wasn't for me.

I saw this bag in store and I was disappointed with the leather. It definitely seemed thinner than the Disco. I also didn’t like the way the GG logo was kinda plonked on top - I think that might hold the front up in a structured way whereas the back could quickly sag, if that makes sense. I was expecting to be very tempted by the navy but it didn’t happen..
I just saw this bag in Vegas over the weekend. I think that if I’d never seen the Disco bag, I’d probably like it. But bc I’ve seen & own the Soho, all I could do was compare. And for me, it came up a bit short. The SA said she’d sold several, though.
Unfortunately they couldn’t. It was a defect and they offered me a full refund, which I thought was extremely nice since I’ve had the bag for almost a year. Been on the lookout for a practical and not too large crossbody since, but nothing has really caught my eye yet.
Sad to read the most first impressions of this bag aren’t that great.
When I first saw the Disco in person, it was still under $1000...by the time I decided to buy it, it was right right after the second price increase, but I managed to get it in Hawaii for slightly less. The last time I checked, the Disco went up to $1400. The increases never stop, and how they've replaced it with something even more expensive. Not sure how I feel about the Blondie, especially as I have the Disco in my hands to compare.
