I'm not loving the new stuff, so am trying to beef up my collection with some older bags. I'm considering a legacy Lily - the medium size. I've read that it's a heavy bag, but I love the turnlocks and hardware and don't mind a bag being a little heavy. I don't carry a ton of stuff in my bags anyway. I've always loved this bag (and some similar to it).

Does anyone still have and use their medium Lily?
Do you still love it, despite its weight?
Do you wear on your shoulder or carry as a satchel? I like that you could buy a longer strap to use with it if you wanted to.
Can you leave it unzipped and still have a little structure?
Tell me about this bag if you have it!

I have a Bridgit, which is a very small Legacy bag and it is very heavy. I had a Legacy leather satchel was is 14 x 8 x 6. It was extremely heavy. I consider it to be a big bag, bigger than Molly. The Lily is 12 x 9 x 6, so it is about the same size. If Rory was too big for you, I think Lily will be too. And it will definitely be heavier than Rory.

HI~~
I have the Legacy Medium Lily!! I love her ~~Especially the hardware!!
(She is my speeding ticket bag! I was on the way to buy her with PCE when I got stopped. The discount on the bag paid for the ticket.)
I carry Lily on my arm (not over the shoulder... straps are too small for me.) I have used the long strap from my Willis sometimes.
Lily can get a little heavy but worth it!! I especially LOVE the Legacy lining!
I think leaving her open is unwise.. especially if use the long strap.. some of your things could fall out. Not too mention... possible pick pockets.
It does have double zippers.


I say GO FOR IT!!!!

Thank you! I was thinking since it's more east/west (and the thing I didn't like about Rory was the north/south depth), that Lily might work. It's similar in size to Molly and I love that size and shape. hmmm

Thank you - your bag is gorgeous! So by double zippers, do you mean each zipper compartment (I know there are 2 on the bag) has a zipper pull on each end of the bag? So you could zip them both toward the middle of the bag? That would allow me to leave it mostly but not entirely unzipped. Hope this makes sense!

Thank you!!! I just had to go pull Lily out of closet!! Sorry, I was thinking she zipped closed from each side like Haley. I forgot she had two zippered compartments. (each only has one zipper so closes one way --Zips from one side to the other.) She is about the size of Molly.

I used to have this bag but sold it because I never used it! I found it to be extremely heavy and too bulky for me. I also don't carry much so half of the bag was never used. :p

I have 3 of the legacy 65th anniversary shoulder bags. I think they are 12 x 6 x 4? And I LOVE them. They have such great leather and character. I don't find them too heavy. They have a good amount of room inside in that I can carry the small bit that I do without it being overwhelming, but would have a bit of room for extras when needed.

They are heavier than other Coach bags, but in a good way for me.... it just has a nice feel to it because the leather is so nice, and I love the hardware, turnlocks, etc, etc. I also love the strap length as I can just carry it or do shoulder carry.

Thanks - which bags are they? Do you have an item number? Or are they Lily bags? I like the weight of a bag to be a little heftier. I actually don't like the feel of the new lightweight Carlyle bags, though I love the hardware and look of them.

I have the legacy duffle, boy is it heavy with that hardware. Love the bag, will always keep it.

I like the one with the pocket in front best as I can fit my cell phone in there and use the rest of the bag for other things, but I still like the 2 pocket one as well.
