Black vs. Midnight Navy bags? I don't get the draw with Navy... Your thoughts?

I love navy bags, having at least one is a must have for me, but I pick a true navy rather than a midnight navy. I do a lot of earth tones and jeans so it works for my daily wear.

Black bags remind me of my mother so I never make those my mainstay bags.

I love navy bags that are blue, not blue black. They work as neutrals with practically everything in my wardrobe from jewel tones, earth tones, and pastels with any hint of blue. Most people look good in blue also.

Thanks for your reply! I'm waiting on the Cassie in Saddle because the black just seems so harsh for that bag.

I am a New Yorker! I wear tons of black. For my palette, black works best. And somehow I still hear my mothers voice about having a "good, black bag." LOL. I think they made a mistake in not making a British tan version of the Cassie. I am very traditional. It's a gorgeous bag in any combination and hope you enjoy your new Cassie! :)

I find black on me is very boring. Navy satisfies the requirement of a dark neutral, and there are different shades from midnight or inky blue to indigo. One of my favorite color combinations is navy and true red(blue undertones, not orange)

Navy is a great pick-me-up when you want a dark bag but also want it to have a less severe look than a black bag gives. I do like black, I have several black bags and my black M Alexa is one of my favorites - still dark navy is just a tad easier and laid back IMO.

I had a lovely dark blue bag that I used every day for almost a year, grew tired of it and sold it. Now I feel so deprived! I need a navy bag back into my life - I'd love a dark navy Cassie, a LC LP Club LLH or a LC LF crossbody.

I love navy!

Actually I have more difficulties liking a black bag than a navy bag. Black bag could look blah and flat, while navy is more lively. I have very few blac bags.

I have dark navy and black bags. Ended up with navy when a black in the style I preferred wasn't available. Navy looks great with white, grey or denim. Wear teal? It will work with that also. I wear a ton of black, but trying to break it up a little. Sometimes I just wear the navy bag with black--because I don't have time. Sometimes it's accidental. Funny story.....I have exactly the same style of shoes in dark navy and black. Went out yesterday with one of each. LOL. I don't think anyone noticed!

Hehe about the shoes. I have had quite the week as the saying goes...and it was only a pair of Converse, but I have navy and black. I was so stressed out and in a hurry I had to stare down at my shoes for a few moments asking myself "am I wearing the same color?". Phew, I was!
