your ring/pendant set is beautiful!!! I LOVE green amythest! & the antique styling of the settings is one of my favorite designs. they look beautiful on you, & I hope you enjoy wearing them.
I can't see the pics perfectly, but it looks like your pendant is cushion cut & the ring is step cut. I think the cushion cut looks better with the color of the stone.

[side note: my sister's birthday is today, & I've gotten her prasiolite pieces too. her daughters' birthdays are in august & her anniversary is in may, so I mixed prasiolite, peridot, & emeralds for her.]

Nothing wrong with that ring's diamonds, IMHO! They are lovely, though perhaps not Elizabeth Taylor-standard! I think that even lesser-quality stones often are beautiful as well. For example, I love rough-cut rubies, and have a lot of them. I know they are not the best quality cuts, and I adore quality, many-facetted rubies as well, but I like them for what they are. (In fact, I've seldom met a gem I didn't like, which is part of my problem...)

yes, she LOVED it! it's a big birthday for her. BTW, one of my closest friend's birthday is today, niece is this week, SIL is next monday, closest friend's is later in the month...lol!

You are quite right, all gems are beautiful, I'm not a snob, I like all stones, but irl the center stones is bam! clear and sparkly while the accents not to much, and it hits my eclectic nerve, which is very silly.Thank you for your kind words!

Wow so many birthdays! Feb & march are also busy busy with many birthdays as well, me, my sister's boyfriend, dh and grand mother we all have birthdays close together. I always think that we were all conceived during summer vacations hahahaa!!! Summer loving
