Hi All,

My best friend has a milestone birthday coming up and I want to spoil her. I am going to get her a bag for her birthday since it is an interest we both share. I am looking for suggestions on what to get her. I want to get her a bag she can use everyday and enjoy. She likes all styles of bags but her style is minimalistic and elegant. So i am looking for bag that isn't too "loud" or "in your face" so to speak that means not a lot of logos or hardware. I have a budget of $3k. I am open to all brands. Please let me know what you all think! TIA

She currently has a three victoria beckham liberty tote bags a navy chanel classic woc. A louis vuitton neverfull damier ebene a chanel executive tote and a chloe marcie a dior diorissimo in red an iris or crocus (can't remember which.) hermes birkin 35 a black hermes kelly 32 and a white hermes birkin 35 and a chocolate hermes garden party.

How about a Chloé Faye for something modern or a YSL Cabas for something more classic? Or something with bamboo handles since that's a style she doesn't have? Trying to imagine what I would carry over those lovely Hermes bags.

Loewe or Hérmes? An Evelyne or Amazona are both gorgeous - not to say that f.e. Mulberry Bayswater Buckle Willow aren't. The Bays Buckle is a nice, open style. The Willow is very subdued, as are most other Mulberry bags; a tiny tree logo on the postman's lock, that is it. Willow also has a front pocket that's actually a clutch. :smile1:

Fendi Peekaboo or 2Jours; Saint Laurent Sac de Jour; Celine Box or Belt.

Saint Laurent also does some lovely wallet-on-chain/evening bags that are a bit more modern than Chanel.

I'd also love to have a friend like you!

Wow, what an amazing friend you are.

I'm thinking there aren't that many Chanel bags even in that price range anymore but you could check, perhaps a Mini.

Thinking about smaller bags, an occasion/eve bag would be appropriate for a special gift. How about the Miss Dior mini pouch in python, Gucci Interlocking in hand-coloured python or a special BV Knot clutch?
