Hi all!
I was offered the Birkin 25 Beige Marfa. I like colors like Etain, Etoupe, Beton, Gris Meyer and other beige, gray colors.

I saw the bag and the color, sometimes in room lighting it gave me a beige-green tint, an olive color, which I didn’t like, and by the window in daylight it gave me a beige-gray tint, which I liked. Definitely a chameleon color.

I'm not 100% sure. What will you advise me?

Who saw this color in Birkin live, what do you think? Would you take it for yourself? Maybe someone refused this color, why? Or, on the contrary, someone purchased this color, also why? I will also be very glad to see photos if anyone has

I also see slightly green tint. If it were me I would wait bc the green will bother me bc it will make it hard to match with my wardrobe. Over the years with tons of mistakes I’ve learned to really pay attention to undertones. They will make or break the outfit. Plus all the greys you like are dark greys or very light. It doesn’t seem to be the color you love. Just wait for the next one would be my opinion.

The Hermès description of Beige Marfa refers to the green tones which are like the dry green hills around Marfa (in Texas, Etats-Unis). If you do not like green undertones, I would wait for another color.
Personally I like green but I do not like it with beige.
Haha, as a former Texan I can confirm that it definitely gives off "hills of burnt grass" vibes. I am also a big fan of all the colors OP mentioned, but something about Beige Marfa gives me the feeling that it wouldn't be as easy to coordinate as other beiges could be - like Mushroom for example which is quite similar to Beton.

The picture in the above attachment does have a green undertone. However, I was offered a pegasus with the primary color beige marfa and didn’t detect any green. Not a great color comparison because it’s small, but here it is in store lighting, if helpful. For what it’s worth, I like the color because I wear a lot of cream tones! But definitely choose something you love!

Funny right? It is literally the color of the hills in a drought!

I honestly would love to love this color bc of the name but it's a no for me. It looks ok in tiny swatches (colors never reveal their full gamut in small pieces) - I was offered a Beige Marfa Pegase when I bought a Gold B25 recently - but JMO, in a full bag there's too much green in the beige. I'd love to see H do a color like Gris T but just a little less conservative :shrugs:

Anyway, if OP is into pure neutrals, I'm not certain this is the one. B25 is def available in Etoupe at the moment as well as other colors mentioned.

We could have been gold B25 and beige marfa Pegasus twins (see my pic above) lol :drinks:

Hi! I purchased a BM in a B25 this year. My initial response was to decline because I had hoped for Etoupe, however, I took time to see the bag in different lighting and against different outfits. That’s what made my decision to accept the offer. I felt like it was true chameleon - a mix between Etoupe and Trench that looked so elegant with everything (maybe it also had to do with my beautiful SA modeling the bag ;) ) . If you are looking to purchase multiple bags, this is an additional neutral option w/out repeating colors. I saw maybe a hint of green … the color was beige to me.

Go with your gut, and what makes you feel confident. It’s a big purchase - one that you don’t want to feel regret.

Edit: included photos.

👆 please refer to this post
Thank you) In my photos it turned out more green)

Thank you) Yes, you are right, the bag is expensive and should be sure of the color. And there is almost no green in my wardrobe) Yes, the colors that I wrote are either dark or light. But this is what first came to mind. For example, I also like Gris tourterelle and the color level is probably closer to Marfa.

Etain, Etoupe, Beton and Gris Meyer are completely different than Beige Marfa.
If you don't like the slightly green undertone I would definitely pass and wait for one of the colors you prefer.
Thank you) Yes, this color is different. What do you personally think about the color Marfa? Do you like green undertone?

Thank you for the clarification about the color) Yes, the more I look, the more I see olive color) I'm still thinking)

Thank you) Maybe I’ll come see it a second time and specially wear something with light colors to see the combination)

Thank you) I don’t know how I read your message, but I looked at Birkin for a long time and thought that you had mixed up the photos. Because I only see Birkin in gold color with Pegasus, and not Marfa. I had to run around the rooms and catch different lights, in case it turned out to be not gold, but Beige Marfa :biggrin:But I re-read it and then I realized that I should look at Rodeo :giggle: Thank you for the comparison photo  But i also see an olive undertone on Pegasus)

Thank you) I really like the name too) It sounds a little like my sister’s name)
Etoupe in this year sold out in my store((( Probably next arrival will be in April.
I saw a sample of the leather Gris Tourterelle and really liked it.

We could have been gold B25 and beige marfa Pegasus twins (see my pic above) lol :drinks:
Thank you) Mane and tail in this color?

Thank you) I like very much your Beige Marfa Birkin) And thank you so much for the photos  The color is very different from what I saw in the store and in my photos. Perhaps it depends on the lighting) Do you have a photo with this bag and your outfits? I'm still not sure, still thinking)
I will add my photos in the next post.

Don’t buy anthing that doesn’t makey our heart sing. Its a an expensive item and I will always say no if its not what I want.
Thank you) Yes you right)
At the moment my heart is not so much singing) Again, there are times when we fall in love with something over time) But again, this is a risk, and it’s possible vice versa. I don’t have any intention of buying with the intention of selling later.

Personally, I like the color but it's not love for me. Just like because I like other H colors better and I already have Gris T. (which is somewhat similar to Marfa but without olive green undertones, see pics, maybe it helps :flowers: ) and Etain B which work better for me and my wardrobe. But that's me, if it's love for you and if you can make it work, then that's all that matters.

Only you can decide. And see if it works with your wardrobe/style. If you don't love it, pass. Wait for something that is love without doubts. If H. would offer you Etain for example, would you still have doubts or would you take it without any doubts? Also, are you planning to buy more Birkins, or is this one going to be your only one (for a long time)?
