Birkin 40 or 35 on a guy?

As an advocate of the larger bags, I think it's only right to point out that the depth of the base also increases proportionately with increases in width. You will be aware of that hanging down by your knees.
Obviously a larger bag will be heavier, but not very much per se.
However, a larger bag can hold more 'stuff' making it heavier to carry.

Have you thought about a HAC 36? It has short handles and more north/ south, and (imho) more school/ work and less handbag feeling (assuming that’s what you wanted of course). And it’s def tall enough for a laptop; and even some books!
I've started looking into a HAC more after posting here, and it's a nice bag for sure. So I might consider one after I do a bit more comparing. It'll just depend on what my local store has available when I eventually go out and attempt to get something

I personally don't think the HAC 40 or the B40 look particularly big on men. But I will share with you what I love most about the HAC: the hardware.
