Just hours after stepping out dressed as fellow singer Janet Jackson for Halloween, Beyonce transformed herself into another famous face from a different era altogether.

The hitmaker's colourful headdress was impossible to miss as she channeled Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, whose physical likeness to her has been remarked on in the past.

The 33-year-old made a beeline for New York's Charlie Bird, while accompanied by daughter Blue Ivy and husband Jay Z to watch the city's parade.

Someone on twitter said Jay went as Blue, I didn't laugh out loud but in my mind I was in tears.
I liked how they tied in Blue as the Piccaso baby, very cute and creative. I love family themed costumes
