actually Jay has been loosing weight for quite some time I noticed a couple of years ago that he was smaller. He's always been medium sized but he does appear to at least be leaner now, least he's not scary thin, he still looks healthy

Solange grew up in the machine with Beyonce so I'm sure she's sensitive to keeping things private. However; she felt wronged enough that she responded such that most humans would. She did wait until they were in private in my opinion. She could have slapped him in the middle of the party but she showed restraint and she waited until the doors closed. People have forgotten that something really foul went down they are just focused on the drama that was released.

Solange left the "public" display of anger towards Rachel Roy if the reports are to be believed. I don't think she has the same level of restraint as Beyoncé just because I think Bey has more to loose than her.

No matter how wronged Solange felt, no grown woman/man should act like that in public or not unless you are defending your life from a killer IMO. One would only hope most humans would not respond as Solange has. She could've shown more restraint by not unleashing her inner Bruce Lee on Jay.

Another thing I have been reading is that he is physically abusive to Beyonce. I also don't know about that. He had every oppourtunity to go after Solange and he didn't. If Chris Brown was in that elevator I doubt the same would have happened.

not sure if this was posted or not,

The world came to a momentary standstill when an A-list cameo laden video “trailer” for Jay Z’s and Beyoncé’s Magna Carta love song “Part II (On The Run)” hit the net. After weeks of speculation on whether or not we would actually see a full-length feature to the provocative clip, director Melia Matsoukas puts the rumors to rest.

This ‘Run’ video was straight-up epic. Take me through the process of how it came to life.

Obviously I’ve worked with Beyoncé quite a bit; I know Jay through the years. We’ve been trying to work together for a couple of his albums and it just never came to fruition. I’d been dying to work with him and I love working with her, so it just felt like the perfect combination. With this song, it’s actually a music video—I know everyone’s calling it a trailer, which I guess it is as well. But it’s a music video for his song “Part II (On The Run).” I feel like [at this point] in Jay’s career he doesn’t want to just do a normal music video. So we were trying to come up with a way to visualize the song that wasn’t something that we’ve seen before. So I came up with this whole movie trailer idea and it just kind of progressed from there. We were talking about trying to hide the fact that it was a music video, and the idea was to release this trailer for this blockbuster that you’ll never see.

It sounds like the idea was largely yours. How did Bey and Jay feel about it when initially pitched on it?

Beyoncé was definitely really excited. Jay was a bit skeptical, but we were able to kind of force him into it. He’s always interested in doing something different so I think that part was exciting to him. I think he was hesitant about ‘Oh, now I have to be an actor.’ I was like, ‘If it works, great. If not, then we’ll cut around it and make it a more typical video.’

I saw him with Mary J. and he was awesome. Like a rock star. The most thuggish dudes were squealing like girls when he hit the stage. The one thing I really appreciated is that he brought out the artists he had done collabos with from the past. People you had not seen or heard from in years. I guess it depends on where you see him in order for that to happen.

I agree, it probably depends on the venue... I saw him at staples center and it was something else... Most were dressed to the nines and most of the people on top recited every last word of his songs... The people down on the floor new the popular songs but when "Can I Live" and all the older songs came on you could really see how skilled he is. I haven't been back to his concerts because I don't feel like his last album was that great. I am excited to go see Bruno Mars at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend though!!!!
