I don't think the statement had anything to do with the tour... those two (Beyonce and Jay-Z) just can't handle being made fun of. And as they teach you in PR, one of the best ways to cool down a situation is to make a statement.

This. Remember last year how Bey had her PR team email Buzzfeed to take down the unflattering pictures from her performance in Super Bowl halftime show? They're very concerned with how they are perceived.

Other evidence includes Jay responding to Harry Belafonte's criticism around the time of the various Trayvon Martin marches with "My presence is charity" as well as Beyonce coming out to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl press conference after it was found out that she lip synched to her own track at the inauguration.

yea - the veil is lifting and they are worried!

That's not unusual... Plenty of celebs do this...

I think Jay-Z did something that is why Beyonce stood there and let it happen....

I don't believe Solange was intoxicated or high.... She did that for a reason.... Jay-Z did something.... And despite the statement in the press release I don't think the matter has been resolved... I do however believe that the will be regulating their fights to the house instead of the elevators...

Really? I feel like I only heard about it with Beyonce. Who else has requested that unflattering performance pictures be removed from a website?

Others probably haven't been caught doing it... And tbh, asking to remove an unflattering photo or article is not a big deal. It's the publicists' job. It's the salty media outlet who released that info about Beyonce... Normally the media would keep industry matters private (emails between pr ppl) but they might not be fond of Beyonce which is why it got out there.

They released an official statement

NEW YORK (AP) — Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange say they have worked through and are moving on since a video leaked this week of Solange attacking Jay Z in an elevator.

"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it," an exclusive statement to The Associated Press read Thursday. "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

The website TMZ posted the three-minute video Monday and said it was shot last week inside the Standard Hotel in New York City. The video appears to show Solange, Beyonce's sister, attacking Jay Z in Beyonce's presence. A security guard intervenes. The footage shows the performers in the outfits they wore to the Met Gala last week. There is no audio.

"The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false," the statement continued. "At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."

The hotel said Wednesday it had fired the person who recorded the video.

Beyonce and Jay Z were married in 2008.

:sneaky:

Yikes!

The reason why Beyonce looked ridiculous when she asked for the pics to be removed was because the article that accompanied them were kissing her ***. That's how you know she takes herself way too seriously. But like it has been said, she is certainly not the first.

i am curious, too! and i wonder if the media released her request because of "how" they requested it! i would not be surprised if they were "told" and not asked very nicely!

I was watching a E! News special called Secret Societies of Hollywood. Very interesting show about how celebs get away with things and how they pay top $$ to keep us in the dark about things. Also who pays for paparazzi to follow them.

Can only imagine what Jay and Bey are hiding.

THE FORBIDDEN HOLLYWOOD KNOWN ONLY TO THE RICH AND FAMOUS IS EXPOSED WHEN “SECRET SOCIETIES OF HOLLYWOOD” RETURNS TO E!
Four All-New Specials Begin This Month: Look Inside What Fuels The Glitz And Glamour Of the Hollywood Machine When “Secret Societies of Hollywood: Deals & Dealers” Premieres Thursday, April 17 at 8PM ET/PT on E!

Los Angeles, April 1, 2014 -- What the average movie, TV and music fan doesn’t know about the real Hollywood is a fascinating, and often shocking, portrait of the Entertainment Capital of the World in all of its harsh reality. To the rest of the world, it seems that their favorite celebrities live the ultimate lifestyle, with everything at their fingertips and hoards of people lining up to work with them and for them. What outsiders don’t see would make anyone think twice about stepping into the shoes of an A-list superstar. In four, all-new specials, E!’s hit show, “Secret Societies of Hollywood” returns and goes behind-the-scenes of the Hollywood that the world only thinks it knows to expose the cults, cabals, underground clubs and to reveal the unvarnished truth about Hollywood royalty. The first all-new episode, “Secret Societies of Hollywood: Deals and Dealers” premieres Thursday, April 17 at 8PM ET/PT only on E!

In “Secret Societies: Deals and Dealers,” a panel of industry insiders give first-hand accounts on what has long been considered an integral component of Hollywood’s dark side – the behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing. Behind every celebrity is an Entourage consisting of agents, managers and assistants, with each looking to make a profit off the success of their client. In addition to money, many are hoping to gain connections and to strengthen their own access to Hollywood’s elite - without facing the same public scrutiny as their famous clients. Riding the wave of an A-lister’s success also means always keeping their client satisfied, which in some cases require a laundry list of questionable activities, such as providing a constant supply of illegal drugs and finding a doctor with less-than-ethical practices. From the personal assistants who can expose -- or create -- a scandal in the blink of an eye, to the agents who will sign their client’s name to just about anything in order to cut a bigger paycheck, even Hollywood’s hottest stars aren’t immune as a target for scams and temptation.

Even more Hollywood secrets will be revealed in “Secret Societies of Hollywood: Lies & Scandals” premiering Thursday, May 15 at 8pm ET/PT. And later this year look for “Secret Societies of Hollywood: Facts and Fetishes” and “Secret Societies of Hollywood: Pursuit of Perfection,” only on E!

“Secret Societies of Hollywood” is produced by Prometheus Entertainment. Kevin Burns is the executive producer.
