I cannot say which luxury brand is best quality. Every brand has hits and misses including Chanel and Hermes. I have bags from all these designer brands for years. But Louis Vuitton by far has the best Customer Service for standing behind their products. They are always approachable and great at repairs and making things right even after years of purchase.

This is important. Nobody wants a defective bag and then get the run around on top of it. I do agree Louis Vuitton stands by their products. I walked right into the repair shop and walked out with my bag repaired. It was an easy fix (stitching) and they fixed it on the spot. I read nightmare scenario's with the Saint Laurent repair process but I was amazed by my SA who sent my bag to a local (Las Vegas) cobbler for repair. Had my bag back within a week. Not sure about the process when purchased from a department store.
Not YSL — the hardware tarnishes and scratches. Very disappointed with YSL. My Gucci bags are amazing though. LV canvas is practically indestructible.
