The 10 motif pave alhambra is gorgeous. The alhambra shape is classically feminine, recognizable, desirable, and elegant. The pave gives it that extra sparkle. Assuming the attention it would draw is positive and it fits your lifestyle, then this is a wonderful choice.

I would also recommend the Harry Winston Lily Cluster for something YG/diamond.

I would also suggest considering the Panthere line from Cartier for something bolder, or their Orchidees for something delicate. For another classic, Tiffany's Schlumberger line has nice variety, too.

I re-read the thread. When I think Dubai, I tend to default to this blog. , but I don't know how accurate/appropriate it is to Samii's situation.

Although the blogger has lovely jewelry, shoes, and purses....

Samiii, I think the 10 motif Pave will be fine for everyday taking into consideration the culture you come from.

You are probably right. I was imagining every day/ family time and see the full on 10 motif as a more special occasion piece. The earrings? On my list for sure :)

It sounds like you want something really special and I think the pave is definitely that! Sure, it's got a lot of diamonds but I don't think that makes it too dressy.

I have many friends who wouldn't wear a diamond bezel watch, but I love it and I don't care, so I bought one...I'll be wearing it with shorts and a tee or a little black dress. I live in an area with pockets of conspicuous wealth and plenty of stealth wealth...some people don't wear a lot of bling and others do. If you think your wife will be uncomfortable with the pave, don't do it. If you think she'd love it...follow your instincts. Everyone has their own taste and style.

I just looked at the photo! What gorgeous necklaces and what a wonderful family tradition! Would you mind telling me how many carats your stunning dbty necklace is? I'm thinking of getting one for my daughter and I'd love it to stand out like yours...just not sure it's in my budget.
