aww i was going to vote for cinnamon as well :(

i use my black bbag alot... though do you live somewhere warm? it's only cold for about 2-3 months where i live, and my black bbag would not match very well with my more summery clothing. i think if you live somewhere mostly cold then black would go well... otherwise i think i'd choose a different color.

Thanks so much for all the inputs and warm welcome! I really appreciate that!

I do wear jeans most of the time.

I have a question for Skyblue. Does it really get dirty easily?

Many thanks!

I don't think so. I mean obviously if you are throwing it around and not really taking care, it'll get dirtier than if you handle with care. But if you are reasonably careful with it it should be ok. Judging from pics of sky blue I've seen though, they tend to fade a lot... i don't know if this is common with all of them though, or just those ones i've seen.

my sandstone & vert d'eau are relatively light colors (on par w/sky blue i'd say) and they still look like new after a year.

if you love sky blue i would get it... i would just invest in LMB's Handles Only to keep the handles from darkening.

^^^I agree with daphodill. Sky blue will only get dirty if you don't take care of it. I have a Vert D'eau City--a very light green/seafoam color, but I take excellent care of it. At the same time, it doesn't get used a ton because I am able to switch with my EB--which is much darker. I like EB because I don't have to worry a ton about it getting dirty, which is why I voted for either a black or EB for your first bag. GL!

i'm down for black, it's classic.
but if you absolutely love skyblue, then go for it, it shouldn't get dirty that easily, and a small amount of condition would always make it brand new again.

Thanks for your opinion.

I am also worried a bit about that Skyblue may tend to fade a lot.

I got your point. The first criterion of getting those light colors BBags is getting a BBag in deeper color. Good point!

My first Bbag was a BG. You are right, it is not an everyday bag. While I can use it everyday coz my wardrobe blends with it, I just cannot deal with such a light colour that stains easily. It is not one bag you can afford to be careless with. That's stress for everyday for me. SB is probably on the same league.

I like EB for everyday coz it is mid-toned & yet a nice POP of colour. But I have difficulty working it into my daily wardrobe so it's probably not an everyday bag either. I have Sienna & it's only a few days old but I can see it work as an everyday bag. I am not a fan of black bag(tho I love black clothes) much so I would get colours & start on black only after I am done with colours. If I were to have one Bbag, it would probably not be black.

Welcome to the forum! I vote for either classic Black or the Sienna - that color is gorgeous and it will go with blacks or browns. I don't have a sky blue, but saw a couple at Bal NY and that color is pretty light - I'm pretty much sticking with the darker colors and wouldn't recommend that as an everyday bag. The EB would be a better blue or if you find an older blue like Ink (I have a Hook Duffle in Ink and have been using it a lot and it looks great), French Blue, Indigo are some of the older darker colors. You'll have to look to find the older colors, but new and like new bags pop up at RDC, AFF and on E**Y fairly often. Be sure and get anying on E**Y authenticated here.

I think she reffered to the NEW sky blue, not the 05 one.

Welcome Scabiosa!
I just want to say to you that you shoul buy whatever bag you want, not what your husband likes or dislikes!

I have a sky blue and I feel that I have to take care of it all the time. Though I love it to death, I find it a hassle to be careful on usage. I think an EB will be great.
