I love your comment and how empathic you are.
I have depression & anxiety myself - and in Germany, where I live, therapy is free because of our great insurance & healthcare system. So anyone could go to therapy, no matter if they can afford it or not.. still there is stigma everywhere and other factors to consider. I also made terrible experiences with highly certified therapists.
and then: I am a model, too. Of course not a famous celebrity model - but I work as a model. And the jealousy and hate which goes with scentences like "models don't eat" is really not classy. I am a 26 year old woman which was always thin and also I was a gymnast from a very young age. In my early years I trained about 5 times a week and today I am still very active with working out from 3-6 times a week. I eat loads. Sometimes even more than my boyfriend which is even taller than me. In the end it comes down to physical activity & metabolism.
I think it is really awful, that publicly shaming skinny women is widely accepted nowadays. No one here in this forum would have written here something like "maybe she ate too much" or "maybe she cries because she is so fat that her joints are hurting" when there was a obese celebrity crying on Instagram, because everyone understood at this point that body shaming is unacceptable.
The video where she cries was uploaded maybe one week before Virgil's passing, if I think of the right video. But still. She is human. And I am pretty sure that there are a lot of affluent people here in this forum which work for example in corporate/real estate and suffer from mental health issues. But I am pretty sure no one would tell them to just left their jobs if it "causes them so much stress" and would talk to/about them in such a rude way.
of course prioritizing mental health would be ideal, no matter what - any job, but unfortunately it is not simple as that & it is not what our capitalist society is all about.
and also: what do we really know about Bella? Maybe she visits a therapist. Who said that she doesn't go to therapy?
