I personally would not consider either as my first, main watch...either would be great as a second watch. Both watches are fun, casual watches and BTW neither should ever be worn with an evening gown. That is the height of tackiness. The tank is okay for evening but not for formal events. If the Tank is not quartz then that would be my choice between the two. Also, if the Tank is waterproof that is a huge plus. You would always have to be careful of the leather band on the B&M.

IMO no watch should ever be worn with a formal gown.
