Ughhhhh the discontinuations drive me BONKERS! As SOON as I finally find something I love it goes away! So obnoxious!

I prefer VS body sprays and lotions and their scents most of the time; I prefer BBW for home fragrance and every now and again I will like a scent enough to buy the lotion and all that (twilight woods, one of their new ones - I cannot get enough! I stocked up early in case of the dreaded discontinue! LOL)

I like both VS and BBW scents, but if I had to choose I'd pick BBW as my favorite. They have so much to choose from and I just love their fruity scents. I think the lotion quality of the two brands are around the same too. But some of the VS body sprays are too strong for me when you first spray them so that's why I don't like them as much.

I like the scents and the products more at BBW. I especially love the body creams--they moisturize well, IMO. My favorite was Freshwater Cucumber . . . until it got discontinued. I stocked up, but I will be so, so sad when it's all gone. Wish they would create a similar subtle scent.

for everyone who complains about discontinued scents...you can find them online a lot...esp the classics...also you can find them at semi annual sales sometimes but be prepared to go every single day, they get different things in each day, one day they might not have it, go back the very next day and they have lots. I tend to buy online a lot because you can get things online you normally cant get in stores....that or try the outlets you can find things there too you normally can't get in stores.

^Yes, you can find them online, but it just bugs be that the bottles are old because they're not producing fresh product in that scent anymore. And a lot of times it's hard to find the matching products. For example, I loved Sheer Freesia for a long time, and only once in a blue moon does bbw website stock the creamy body wash and the lotion at the same time. They happen to have it now, but I've decided to move on to Wild Honeysuckle. Which I noticed has a very small shelf space in the store, which inevitably means it's being discontinued too. Seriously!!!

Sometimes, it's not about "real." Some of us have sensitivities to perfume but some scented lotions are okay. I get instant headaches from "real" perfume as you call it, so I am only able to wear lightly scented lotions. It's funny the way you worded your post - kind of a perfume-snobby feeling to it. LOL. There's nothing wrong with B&BW/Victoria's Secret-type lotions and perfumes. It's all in good fun and not to be taken too seriously...

:goodpost: Everyone tends to like different things, I have some "real" perfumes and lotions and a few lower priced ones that I like just as much. Who cares how much something costs as long as you like it.

I do like both but I prefer BBW, I think their body creams are moisturizing and have a silky feel that I just love. From VS I like sensual amber but I don't think their lotions are any good. BBW have many fun and great smells, especially around the holidays. I stocked up on vanilla bean noel, winter candy apple and winter. Their regular line have some great smells aswell like sea island cotton, moonlight path and japanese cherry blossom.

I used to love BBW and VS lotions, until I realized my skin wasn't that moisturized. I bought the VS Body Butter and it made my skin more dry and I noticed the scent changed on me through out the day. So I switched, and I am now hooked on The Body Shop Body Butters. They're amazing.:D

I no longer buy VS lotions or sprays, I agree with the poster who said they smell like alcohol while it dries. I now only buy home fragrances from BBW. Pineapple Orchid & Coconut Vanilla (?) in the summer, Valina Bean Noel/Warm Vanilla Sugar in the winter. I have a massive stock pile saved up.

I like both VS and BBW about the same. I think most of the scents smell great, but I wholeheartedly agree about the Body Shop's body butters. They are very moisturizing which I need in the winter.

Yes agree with the poster about the body shop lotions are so much better quality than VS and BBW. I know a little more expensive but when they have sales on their gift sets at the body shop it can be a better deal.

I hate how BBW lotions it seems like you put it on and you can still feel the "residue" leftover.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE bath and body works more whenever i buy from them i know that there lotions are fawless my only complaint which a few posters have all ready adressed would be when they discont. scents which i mean seriously they get rid of all the good ones i get so mad at this i savor all the ones that i own that are discont since i will never had them again:cry:

I use to work for BBW for like almost two years so it safe to say I've stocked up on a lot of stuff. Now, I'm in to "REAL" (LOL, just wanted to say that) perfume but not REALly i've just been more into celebrity purfumes now Jessica simpson fancy ,Britney's Midnight fantasy, jlo still, and carol's daughter pearls. LOL

I think I feel more fancy with the glass bottles. But I do like VS love spell and that will be the one thing get I get from the semi sale beauty section and few of their other perfume oh la la, and the vanilla jamsime and rose something they have.

As for BBW I do like them for the bodywashes and the body creme. The coconut lime verbana/ cool citrus and vanilla scents for the winter.

But besides the wallflowers, the spa shea hand cream,and hand soaps I'm no longer an addict. I can go in there just during the annual sales and be good.
