I'm not crazy about natural baroque pearls - the kind which looks like pearlescent silly putty shaped by the palm of a kindergartener. As far as teardrop shaped baroque pearls and oval pearls - I think they're beautiful! Especially a delicate gold lariat chain with a baroque pearl hanging from the end. Amazing. So yes, I think baroque pearls are beautiful - but only if they're symmetrical.

I like baroque for more casual wear (as casual as you would wear pearls, that is - like when I'm teaching or for a summer brunch). My round pearls are for interviews and fancy dinners out.
In general, I prefer my baroque pearls. They have so much character!!
