Hi everyone I need your help, once again.

does anyone here have shoe size EU37 (which is a true uk 4) and can tell me which size ballet flats they own?

i am terrified of buying crazy expensive shoes that are too small or too big!

SO MANY PEOPLE sell their ballets star if they are too smal. I don’t want to be the next as there is no money back option from the boutique. Bare with me!

I tried the 37C (pinched my big toe a tiny bit) and half a size bigger but with the smaller width (37,5) and can’t for the life of me decide!!! The 37,5C (with c) was way too big but as soon as the width is reduced and I get the normal 37,5 they seem to be fine and a bit better than 37c. I have never been a 37,5 in My life though so I am worried they are just ok now because of the fact they are narrow - If they stretch a lot it’s possible that they will be way too big.

Peeps with a true 37 who ended up getting the ballet flats in a size 37C did they stretch?

Hi, I have a bigger foot but can try and help. Lambskin will for sure stretch! You can always get the toe box stretched as well. Every foot is different, even in the same size. I would get what fits you without falling out of the back and wear or stretch them. do not worry about size, as each pair can run different too.

Thank you! I am so worried about ending up with the wrong size shoe that I’m about to not buy them at all. I did make a mistake before and buy a 37 1/2 from another brand and like I said they stretched and I can’t wear them anymore not even with insoles...

The crucial question is: if 37,5C is HUGE and 37.5B (smaller width) is great - how can this shoe be so much smaller just because of the width?

I am a true size 37 and bought a pair of size 37 Chanel ballet flats a few years ago. I've worn the shoes twice since purchasing, and for a few hours only. The shoes were too uncomfortable and really pinched my feet. It's comfort first for me, so I haven't had the patience to see if the lambskin stretches, but so far it doesn't seem to have stretched.

I'm not sure about your question regarding shoe width because I was only offered the regular width shoes, but suspect a wider width might have alleviated this problem.

That is what chanel refers to as the wider width already. So u have already got the larger ones, per se...

i went and tried on the 37,5 (normal width) and the 37C (bigger width) as well as 37 (normal width but in Black as Beige wasn’t available) and while 37,5 was too big (whereas this exact size fit fine in another colour!!!) the 37 was even bigger than 37c. It’s totally confusing and really true what they say: every pair fits differently!!!

i now ended up purchasing the 37C. My heel slips out sometimes whereas there is pressure on my big toe but I am convinced it’ll work out - i may put one of those see through gel protectors in the back..

There is quite a lot of room to both sides of the shoe but I have a standard wide foot so I feel like if this is what they almost always sell to Europeans than why should I need the smaller width for the Asian market? how do you know if a shoe is too wide?! What’s the worst that can happen - they can gape when I walk and bend the foot bit that’s it, I guess...? I tried to see what a standard wide foot is lol no luck

Hi! I am a huge ballet flat fan and own many many pairs. For me, I have to go a half size up.
If your big toe is touhing the top, it's too short and you need to go a half size up.
The width is how wide your foot is and not the length.

If there is no perfect fit, a tiny bit looser is much better than a tiny bit tight.
One, because you will hate wearing it if it's too tight. And two, stretching a shoe will just distort the look.
If you have ever seen ladies who wear shoes too tight that are stretched out, the elegance of the shoe is lost.

Just my two cents... I hope this helps. Congratulations on your soon to be ballets! I love Chanel ballets, they are my go to shoe and work with everything!

the old wisdom from years ago was to buy them closefitting bc they stretch (advice from the boutique). back then, when
they made them in France I took a 37B (6.5 US) When they made them in Italy, 37.5. In the ballet mule, 37.5. Currently I wear the 37.5 B, but I always try the ballet flat on in the store bc they can vary. I do take 38 espadrille (it’s a bit loose, but fine for a summer shoe. I have a wider foot than a B normally, but it depends on the last. C is too wide; it will gap.

I’m normally a 37 gucci, ysl, birkenstock, 37.5 Manolo, louboutin etc. 37 valentino mule; 37.5 valentino heels, 38 sandal

I always go one 1 up from my US size (7.5) in regular ballet flats, 1.5 for patent leather, and usually .5 for quilted flats. They say that shoes stretch, so to only go up .5 of a size (for Americans), but I don’t find that they have that much give and my feet feel like they’ve been tight-laced after a few hours.

Just checked - yes they are 37C!

It really is a mystery!

I wonder if the 37C I got are too wide but then I compare them to my well loved “pretty ballerinas” flats in 37 and they are actually just as wide.

I mean there must be a reason why the boutiques say they almost never get the B width for the European market (which isn’t marked with B but has no letter at all next to the size on the sole).

ive never considered my feet narrow or wide and never had issues with shoes. It’s just NOW that I have to make the DECISION which width is better
I am embarrassed to ask the store to order a 37 as well cos I may exchange my 37C?!!!

Like I said, a black pair in 37 was BIGGER than my beige 37C.

i wish someone could compare the width sizes with actual centimetre references, I googled the hell out of it and nothing is coming up

this is doing my head in! I wanna love them and wear them yet I am terrified they end up being wrong.

Can anyone relate?

I'm a true 37.5.

The ballerina flats I got are all 37.5c. I don't think my country brings in other widths, if I'm not wrong.

It's a little too wide for me in width. But comfort wise, it's pretty good especially in lambskin but they do stretch surely. For my feet profile which is not fleshy, I feel Roger Vivier fits me better.

Espadrilles I'm on 38. All perfect except perhaps if it is 1cm slimmer in width, it'll fit even better.

I tried the 37C (pinched my big toe a tiny bit)
I worry about this bc sometimes a shoe will stretch everywhere except the pinch lol. Other brands say that the shoe will stretch in width but not length. I actually have other brands of shoes (mainly valentino rockstud flats) where I bought two different half sizes (one as a theoretical back uo) bc in the am I worry that the feet swell, and in the evening they don’t. If you ever wear a thin wolford sock or stocking, I find my feet slip a bit if the shoe is too big. A tongue pad could remedy a shoe that’s too big, by pushing your foot back against the heel. if a shoe (other than a ballet flat) is a tiny bit too big, it won’t stretch more bc your foot is what stretches it out.

Very true that’s what I’ve been thinking too - one of those half moon inserts in the toe area could help to push my foot back to the back of the shoe... and if I ordered the smaller width it will probably widen anyway to the widht that equals the wider one anyway? Oh gosh I don’t know.

What I do know: I did not get any dust bag with the shoes, I just realised! Do ballet flats come with dust bags!?

I'm a size 37 with a very narrow foot! Both pair of ballerina flats I got were 37C, and they fit but the back pinched my heel so I put heavenly heelz in them right at the outset. At the beginning the whole shoe felt a bit hard (didn't get any blisters though!), and after a few weeks of wear they softened up a bit and became sooo comfortable! Now they are my go-to flats when I need to walk around all day.

My feet are very narrow so the only other flats I can wear are the Ferragamo My Joy flats (in size 37) and Gucci Jordan loafers (in size 36)
