I didn't even realize that the City she is holding is new and not some version from a few years ago, I guess Bal is re-releasing it after all, as "Le City." Funny how the print reads launched in 2000... moto for sure then, but the City itself was 2003, correct?

I wonder what the new SRP will be and how in return that will effect the resale market.

If Kim is holding the relaunched "Le" City, then it doesn't look much refreshed or reinterpreted. It looks just like a black silver G12.

TBH, I’m not impressed. I don’t see any old goodies, just the new bags that don’t interest me.

I’d much rather raid @fayden ‘s closet

A gifted "collection" for a photoshoot vs. a REAL collection.

I can't quite tell for sure, but it looks like they may have widened hooks/loops where the handle meets the 2 studs on the main part of the bag. I'm guessing to support all extra bits & charms they're adding to the bags. I agree that it doesn't look much refreshed.

Per the Bal website, "2024’s Le City is made of Arena leather and sees various elements from archival designs constructed as a new classic, with vintage details including original-sized studs, laced zipper pulls, and lacquered leather handles and straps."

...which I read as a lazy, updated adaptation.

Will it come in Seafoam with 20 year old leather though? 🤣🤣🤣

Judging by this pic it looks like this new City will have a braided almost lattice look around the weight distributer on the shoulder strap.
Which will just feel incredibly uncomfortable.

I don't hate whipstitch, so I kinda like that.

But I agree, it would hurt, plus leave a funny mark.

... still feel like having the original version is more special tbh.

They just recycled the cagole thingy style. I can confirm they’re not comfortable, though cute. On the cagole you can’t even remove them becsuse of massive studs on the strap. These may be removable.

+1 on the lack of comfort factor. I parted with the Le Cagole XS Bucket bag for a combo of this reason plus the lack of handles on it. I really want to like the Cagole series (in practice, design-wise they're super fun), but apparently I'm just Goldilocks-ing my way through it.
