I just got home from a full day of Bal-researching. First, I started off at the Bal SCP boutique. My sweet SA there didn't even know the names of the upcoming F/W colors, nor did he have a swatch.

I then drove about an hour to a private, upscale boutique. I ended up buying a Light Olive RH City (my third time with this bag, but that's another story...) and ended up chatting with the buyer.

OMG!!!!

She just came back from the showroom in New York and had a FULL BINDER of pictures. She showed me the color swatches, and PICTURES of the upcoming bags!!! Here's the scoop:

Papyrus: I saw a picture of the RGGH City. It's like a darker version of Galet. It was the color that caused the most buzz amongst all the buyers. She ordered the most styles/hardware of this color.

Coquelot (sp?): Saw a pic of this in the Pompon. The picture seemed like a bright coral/tomato, but the swatch was much darker. She said the picture looked nothing like the real color... that it's darker and much more like the swatch. Another color all the buyers went ga-ga- over.

Paeon (sp): The swatch looked like a lighter version of Cyclade. I was hoping it would be like the picture of the peacock, but it's not. this particular buyer wasn't impressed with it and didn't order many pieces in it.

Some purple color (forget the name): She said this was the most GORGEOUS purple she's ever seen... and like nothing that Bal has ever produced before. To me, the swatch looked like Raisin, but she said no, it's not like that IRL. It's a deep, deep purple that manages to be bright at the same time.

Overall, Papyrus was the #1 hit of all the buyers. She personally loves Papyrys, Coquelot, and the purple color and ordered the most in those three colors.

Oh, and Vert Menthe? The reason she didn't buy it in any bags was because she was not impressed with it IRL. None of the buyers she saw when she was there purchased bags in Vert Menthe, either. Something about it IRL must be flat or dull or off. That's just my guess.

Ok... that's it. I'm still recovering from almost fainting at the F/W pictures. Start saving like crazy, ladies!!! I know I am :smile1:

Thanks, riry for the info. I'm curious about Papyrus and Coquelot. And the purple color, Bleu Lavande! I'm only stuck on Ardoise this season (still have to see it IRL tho), so I'm excited for F/W already.

I was thinking the same! I would LOVE a repeat of Camel or some kind of Cognac color. Maybe next time....

Saving big time now for an Anthra, Black or Militaire Maxi Twiggy, and then for the Red and Blue (if it's like the purple blue/blue/purple in the Bal fall RTW shots) Maxi Twiggy.

I love the idea of a re-issue in Cognac: I'm sure it will return to Bal's repertoire soon... it's been gone for rather a long time, and everyone loved a bit of deep tan in their handbag wardrobe!

did someone say gorgeous purple and reds? omg..i'm in big big trouble..atleast this gives me some time to save up:p

This is what my SA told me about the F/W colours.
Mentioned that the Red Coquelicot is perfect! Dark Red, looks like Sang, but a little more dark Red....:nuts: Also advised me it will be the best seller for the 2011 F/W. :yahoo:
Papyrus looks like Galet.
Blue Paon looks like Blue liturgique.
Blue Lavande looks like Outremer..

The velo GGH may come out in Europe later on in the year....

Dark Knight & Vert Menthe will be out by March/April

Thank you for sharing..so, how about Anthra with GGH? will come to Europe too? Or only Bal US?
