Bags You're Glad You Passed On

Nice topic!

Lady Dior: I love you but from afar haha. Does not go with my aesthetic, and too delicate for how I treat my bags.
Chanel coco handle: The corner wear would just drive me bonkers.
Dior book tote: I love the look, but I'd put it on the ground constantly, and we all know what happens when we do that
Dior 30 montaigne bag: I realized I have too many bags in a boxy rectangular shape, having this one would be pretty redundant.
Dior caro bag: Lambskin too soft for my liking, I don't think I would like the shape after some wear and tear, and again, another boxy rectangle shape, haha
Fendi baguette: So close to getting one but so glad I didn't. The gaps on the sides of the bags at the top of the flap look unflattering to me and would drive me crazy.

For me:

Pink snakeskin and crystal Lady Dior. I am a sucker for pink but I wouldn’t have wanted to baby the reptile skin and this feels over the top even for me. Lol!

I fell in love with this Gucci Dionysus when I tried it on but the florals really aren’t me.

Not sure why I ever wanted this Gucci as it’s not my style in any way. I bought it for DD and they are very happy together

I still love this LV Alma but am not an arm carry fan. Plus it fit work when times were far more formal than they’ve come to be.

I forgot Lady Dior and the Dior book tote. Love the aesthetics of both, but neither would work for me and for different reasons. Too prim, too proper, too much fabric. I’ve learned I can admire a bag from afar, but I don’t have to own it. Real eye opener for me!
@DME, agree with you and with @lill_canele ! I’m thrilled to pass on two of the aforementioned above today, but theyre not all prim and proper lol (in case you want to take another look). I do keep trying them bc hope springs eternal

You sound like me with Valentino Rockstud shoes. I keep trying and trying, hoping one day a pair will work for me. Still holding out hope… Those bags are gorgeous, by the way!

Back when the CHANEL Boy was first released, I considered getting the iridescent purple version (with the oil slick finish). I'm glad I never pulled the trigger as it doesn't really match my style. Also, it seems like Boy bags don't wear well, especially around the corners.

Similarly, I'm glad I never got the Chloe Nile "bracelet" bag. Chloe is very trendy, and I think they do a great job of drumming up hype around new styles. However, I just don't find their bags to have much longevity. I sold my Faye a few years ago and haven't looked back.
