Hello~ This is my first post on this forum!! I am brought here when am looking for comments on Mirta. I really like the Opera bag and am thinking of buying it, though I usually use shoulder bag when I go to work.. perhaps I can use it on weekends. :)
Craft_905, may I know the shortest strap drop of the bag?

The opening of the bag is not huge but I didn't have any difficulty putting in my phone (Samsung S9+), small wallet and keyholder. To open, you pull down on the hook-tab thingy. Opening the bag can be managed with one hand but closing it completely (as in hooking the metal tab back in place) is easier with 2 hands. That said because of the shape of the bag, I think it is still safe to carry the bag without completely hooking on the metal closure. All and all, for an under $600cdn bag (after discounts), I'd say it is absolutely worth the money! View attachment 4765696View attachment 4765697View attachment 4765698View attachment 4765699

May I ask what discounts you got? When I signed up I got an email with a code for 10% off, but will something better come up?

I bought the Oblo bag from Mirta. It’s so beautifully madep. It was packaged so nicely and Mirta’s service was outstanding. View attachment 4812717

Hi Grietje,

I’m thinking of ordering an Oblo as I’ve gone ‘off’ BV. I was wondering how you went with the Obla, in particular the bottom part where it folds under. Is it very bulky? It’s the only thing stopping me from pressing the button.

Thanks!!

@anniebhu: funny you mention the bottom because that’s the only thing that gave me pause too! It looks bulkier than it is; it’s actually a nice and tight fold. What color are you thinking?

Thanks for the quick reply Grietje!
I’m thinking dark brown like yours. I like the woven leather and more classic styles...like in the days of TM. Light weight is important too.

I have the Oblo in burgundy— The leather squeaked when I first got it, but now getting a lot better! The color and craftsmanship was so beautiful, I couldn’t bear to send it back! Also really reminds of BV for a fraction of the price. Also have the operetta in white and I love that as well although the vachetta seems a bit delicate - It is small but so beautiful that I will keep. Bought another mini bag that is lizard embossed and it’s gorgeous but a bit too small for my needs and have so many mini bags right now! Have 1 more coming! Great craftsmanship and customer service. Hoping they hold up well with regular use!

I've been looking at the website for the past week and can't seem to get it out of my mind. I'm interested in the Oblo (or Fiona) and the Opera - but I'm concerned about the weight. The leather on the Opera looks very thick and stiff. How does the Oblo compare to BV? I don't know anyone who owns a Mirta bag, so I'm super happy to find this forum!

I'm also interested in the Opera and am wondering about the weight. Any more feedback ladies?
