Discovered MIRTA today, an online shop stocking bags and accessories made by many Italian artisans.

https://www.mirta.com/

The bags are beautiful and I bought a leather woven tote by Roberto Pancani. Just a few hours after my order was confirmed I was told by email that it was packed and on its way. I'm thrilled by the customer service and am so looking forward to it arriving next week. I hope it feels as gorgeous as the way it looks.

I haven't heard much about MIRTA around TPF. What does everyone think?

I was going to ask the same thing! I noticed this company kept popping up in my advertisements and I really like the look of some of them. The leather looks amazing and I saw a few crossbody bags that were really pretty. I wonder if anyone else has purchased anything from there.

I found them through adverts as well and was attracted to the bags by the variety of designs. I haven't seen many reviews about the bags and would welcome any!

I'll post about my bag when it arrives; was going to link it but realised it's no longer available. I think it was mentioned somewhere that the bag was unique so I guess the listing was taken down after it was sold.

Several other bags caught my eye but I'm waiting on the first one before deciding on another:
https://www.mirta.com/products/posillipo-nisida-black - the bamboo handle on this tote bag makes it pretty special
https://www.mirta.com/products/opera-cross-body - I don't think I've ever seen a crossbody accordion bag in such a unique shape
https://www.mirta.com/products/sofia-black - I like this petite one, it reminds me a bit of the LV Alma but in black leather.

The opening of the bag is not huge but I didn't have any difficulty putting in my phone (Samsung S9+), small wallet and keyholder. To open, you pull down on the hook-tab thingy. Opening the bag can be managed with one hand but closing it completely (as in hooking the metal tab back in place) is easier with 2 hands. That said because of the shape of the bag, I think it is still safe to carry the bag without completely hooking on the metal closure. All and all, for an under $600cdn bag (after discounts), I'd say it is absolutely worth the money! Opera_1.jpgOpera_2.jpgOpera_3.jpgOpera_4.jpg

Great bag! Mirta seems intriguing but I couldn’t find anywhere on their site this bag used in their ad....anyone have a link?

Hello there! :) I am Sara from Mirta, I work in the Customer Experience team and saw your post! This morning we contacted the Artisan of that bag, Marco Trevisan from Trieste, and he told me that he still has one piece of that model (really rare, he usually only works on request!). If you want more info on that bag, send us an email at [email protected], or chat with us directly on the website. We can find the way that suits you the best to grab this beauty :)

Thanks Craft_905. So helpful!
Would it be easy taking in and out a Samsung Note 9 in a leather phone case wallet?
Would it fit an additional compact umbrella or sunglasses case?
Sorry for so many questions, having recently returned a Furla metropolis I am shy of buying small bags that I haven't operated.

I've come across their ads as well and some of their bags seem quite reasonably priced, especially for handmade, and there are are lots of versatile and classic styles. I see a lot of full-grain leather though, and am concerned about weight.

Has anyone else purchased and can share their experience?

I also took a look at the website. I'm very surprised we are not hearing more about this brand on Purseforum! There are some very beautiful and different bags--actually more that attract me than some of those featured recently on Purseblog. I will keep on my radar, definitely!
