TY!!!
Do you know how it's different from the most 'regular' Collonil? I didn't see that one available on Amazon when I was searching, so it should be here any day now. Had you tried it before?

I'll look for this- thx!!!
I’ve been using the regular collonil on all my bags (inc nude colours), and I only wear black jeans - have had no colour transfer issues

Aaaargh, WISH I'd seen this just a cpl days sooner!!! Do you think I should return the regular or just switch over when it runs out (I have a ton of bags to treat...)
So that being said, do you have any suggestions for color transfer remover? What I have completely doesn't work well, so I'm looking to clean first before applying to my lighter bags. TY!

Thanks so much! I wear black EVERYTHING, so it's an issue... :/
Can't wait till it arrives, either one!!!

How often do you spray?

For the bags I use more often (like my gucci marmont in nude), I spray maybe every 5 uses. First time I sprayed two very light coats, and now I only do a light spray all over the bag as maintenance. For the bags I rarely use, maybe every 3-4 months - I do them all at once so I don’t forget.

Marco Massacchesi, the Italian designer of all of my bags, recommended a Leatherman kit for me. He is a third generation leather artist, so I figure he knew what he was talking about. It contains a dye transfer remover and a dye transfer protectant. I had a cream colored chair with serious denim transfer from my hubby's jeans. It took several applications to get it ALL off, but it came off with no damage or color removal. I then used the protectant spray and no more problem. It is only recommended for LIGHT leathers.

May I ask exactly how you spray? I've done the research, and feel convinced Collonil is a great product. I am worried about the hardware (such as Chanel chains, CC turnlock, or GG marmont metal logo). Do you spray everything, including the hardware? Do you wipe down the hardware afterward? What method of spraying has worked best for you? Thanks!

Hi, I haven’t had any issues with the hardware for Gucci, but I do wipe the hardware part as soon as I’ve finished spraying. I’m probably too careful, but I usually direct one spray first in the atmosphere to make sure that the protectant is atomized well (eg, no big droplets, should be fine mist), and then I spray on to the leather from a distance of about 3-4 inches away. One coat, then let it dry for 2-3 minutes, then I do a second coat if I think it needs it.

Haven’t tried it on my new Chanel bag - so can’t give feedback on that unfortunately. I’ve used it on my blue Valentino rockstud spike bag, which has a lot of hardware and is similar in texture to chanel lambskin, and I haven’t had any issues so far.

Thanks so much! I've been feeling nervous about spraying the hardware, but if you can do the Valentino Rockstud, then I'm thinking there won't be an issue. Appreciate the quick reply! I'm going to try spraying a few bags this weekend.

No problem and good luck! With the Valentino rockstud spike, I just wipe the studs really quickly haha, there are so many of them! I’ve never also tried spraying them with two coats in one spray session
