Bag ponchos - help

Hi everybody!

Does anybody know if there are bag ponchos for sale somewhere? The only ones I know are those Hermés gives for free when you buy their bags.

I am tired of carrying a plastic bag around for emergency rainshowers and was looking for a nice transparent "bag poncho" for my bags. Mainly some stylish poncho that goes over the bag and is not open on the sides like the Hermes' one so that it doesn't fly around with the wind.

I would really appreciate any suggestions, mainly for online retailers that deliver in Europe :)

Thanks!

Hmm... I've never actually heard of a bag poncho. I think it's a neat concept! But I definitely need to buy myself a poncho first! It was raining like mad on Friday, and because I don't drive and the transit system is so inefficient, I had to walk to work. When I arrived at work I was totally soaked!!

Thank you all for trying to help me.

I am looking for something kinda like this:

I just found the last photo on an old thread here at TPF http://forum.purseblog.com/bottega-...reference/cabat-rain-what-to-do-499326-2.html where they call it bag raincoat, but it was a Birkin raincoat and nobody had found an alternative to it. Since I don't own a Birkin I had a bit of hope that someone would have invented it by now.

BTW, the new Birkin ponchos are even better! I might have to get someone to make me a couple of "bag raincoats" :)

But don't you agree it would be a very very smart thing for some smart retailer to sell?

I would love a couple of those as well. I researched this a couple years ago and didn't get very far. I'll keep an eye on this thread!

Hmmm... Well, if I were going to go to all the trouble, I would put my bag inside something else. This poncho business looks too scary - what if the wind flipped it up? What is protecting the handle? Where do you put the wet 'poncho' when you're done with it?

I usually carry my bag under my coat (rain- or otherwise) to protect it.

GOOD LUCK!

Practical shmactical. All that matters is it's cute, right?

heehee.........

I can't answer about the handle, that would be a concern, but if I were to design something like this I'd make a little carry case for it so you could put the wet poncho inside it afterwards.
