Bag for work - impossible to find!?

Below is the largest bag I use for work. It’s wide enough to hold files. It is also structured and have a zipped closure. The problem is, the strap is most likely not long enough for your needs. They can be worn on the shoulder but it sounds like you want a longer strap. Also, I think it can get heavy if too much is placed in the bag. It’s midnight navy so it can take inclement weather. I used it in rain, wind and snow.

The Givenchy Antigona looks like the perfect bag to meet all your requirements. The strap is a nice length too.

Can I suggest the Coach Large City ZIP Tote (F11926) from the Outlets? It is not a luxury designer bag but I have tried tons of bags and this is absolutely the perfect tote for work and it meets all of your criteria. It has long enough straps, is not a floppy bag, has a complete zip top , fits A4 folders, is a classic design and comes in classic colors, and has the most ingenious pockets on the inside. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the “perfect work tote”!
Do you have pictures of the Large City Zip Tote in action? I have the regular size & love it! I'd love to see a side by side comparison!

Hi, I just wondered what you decided. I am having the same issue now! Ideally I would like leather/suede lining, and double handles that will sit comfortably on the shoulder. Does anyone know if the McQueen heroine 30 handles are long enough for a small person to wear on the shoulder? Thank you.

Thank you all for your suggestions!! So nice of you.
The Antigona that fits all my request (many other can't fit the folder, unfortunately...) but it might be to "rocky" for me.
The Bayswaters strap is on the short side, I can't really get it on my shoulder.
I love Goyard and it would be perfect, but they don't sell them in my country. I may have to book a trip to France

I know what my dream bag is (Kelly 40  with strap...) and I realized that I compare all other bags to it, so I have to either save up to it or drop it (for now).
With small bags trending so hard, the Kellys in 40 and even 35 are "low" on the resale market right now....still 3x what you want to spend, but if it's your dream bag... :graucho:

I just can't stop loving my Hugo Boss Taylor. I have the Large Satchel and it's brilliant. The price is around 700 € and for that you get really nice and sturdy leather, short straps and a long one as well, alcantara lining, a large compartment with a zipper and two compartments with magnetic closure.

I've had my Taylor since early last summer and I've used it so much it's not even real. It's my fave work bag since it looks the part without being too obvious - I work for a financial services provider and I don't think heavily branded products sit in well with that type of an environment. Also the bag can hold a ton and it's easy to keep organized. I don't carry a laptop but I do keep an A4 pad with me and it fits no problem. I've used the bag non stop from last summer to late November and now I've gotten back into it again - there are no signs of wear anywhere. No scratches or anything else.

I couldn't think a better bag to carry to work. I've been thinking about an excuse to purchase a Dark Blue or a Quilted Small Taylor. Or the Taylor Shopper. Still haven't come up with one. That doesn't mean I won't. It's just my low shopping year making things difficult.
