Hey all. I travel quite a bit (not a lot but I live/study between countries) and all this time spent in airports admiring other passengers' styles has made me want some stylish luggage!

Currently using Samsonite and Victorinox cases and quite content with their durability and safety for travel. However, with cabin luggage I am afforded more opportunity to 'play' with my options and use cute luggage.

I am looking for a duffle bag atm, I'd like some recommendations. The criteria being: cabin-sized, light + comfortable to carry, yet strong, and under £1000 preferably (flexible on this). Also I would like to know your recommendations in terms of quality - I want something made well enough that it won't break with weight or be ruined by weather.

(No Louis Vuitton, I personally was unimpressed with the Keepalls after going to the store specifically to buy one.)

I was going to suggest a Keepall because it fits your earlier wishlist... but then I read your last paragraph!

Haha, they are very emblematic of LV's luggage range but I just didn't like it when I saw it in person sadly! The shape and construction didn't really suit me.

I would look at something from longchamps in the travel section on their site.

Thank you for the suggestion - their cabin cases are very nice (I'll consider them when I need a new one!) but their holdalls/duffle bags are not really my style.

Thing with semi-structured holdalls is that from the design point of view it is difficult to balance a large sized bag on a crossbody strap. How would you ideally like to carry the bag? That should determine the size/kind the bag should be.

None of my luggage is cute.
But it survives rain, vomit & endless adventures.

Suggestion: investigate items by osprey & eagle creek

Those look very utilitarian! :) But I have to admit I want something with a bit more of a formal look, as I tend to be wearing semi-formal outfits even during travel. I don't do many outdoorsy activities, as such the most a duffle bag will have to endure is a bit of rain/snow and public transport.

Hand carry, and would like the option to shoulder carry - will not be using it as a crossbody. :)

I too am looking for a business-suitable carry on to use in lieu of a rollaboard for short business trips. I just came across these two options by Everlane. I'm leaning toward the nylon weekender (https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-nylon-weekender-darkgrey). There's also the twill weekender (https://www.everlane.com/products/w...lack-leather?collection=womens-backpacks-bags). Both seem to have good capacity and fit in plane overhead storage. Bonus would be to squish it underseat if not packed too fully.

Did you take a look at their men's line? I think they have really nice travel bags, and the quality is so great.
