Well lower end designers , provably, can go I guess. Classic can stay. Read chanel forum here, they are getting scared of " new quality", they go to buy preloved.

Great collection... To streamline I would first determine what my magical bag number was. Then I would narow down to one bag in each color. Excluding the Chanels of course-these I never part with. Then I would consider functionality. Once you've made these choices carry them all over next few weeks to determine how they truly work with your lifestyle

How do you find a magical number? Someone had said she own only 3 bags now [emoji15] that might be extreme to me but I find the idea appealing. No fuss and no need to feel guilt over not using a bag. But you're right functionality is important. I was always on a quest for a new bag if I had a gap in functionality in my collection [emoji38] I also had the idea of taking each bag for one last go and see if I still truly needed it. Thanks so much for the ideas! xx

My number is 15. I got to that based on my needs and functions. Three will never work for me because I have to have color options. How many bags do u own now

My magic number is 25. I can't do 3. And the idea of 3 is horrifying. Lol! I like to match my bags to my outfit and I like color. My 25 was a major downsize from over a hundred. I have fewer, higher quality bags. So much happier. But I didn't know my magic number until I was at the end of my process.
Why don't you try a step down approach? Identify the 2 bags you use & love the least. Sell / purge those. Wait a month or two and see how you feel then rinse and repeat. I knew I was at my hard core minimum when the last couple of sales were hard and I couldn't stand the thought of selling any more. Doing it over time helped me not make rash decisions.
But whatever you do. Don't sell the Chanel! They are beautiful, can be worn casual to dressy and are only going up in price.

Yes I wouldn't even consider selling my Chanel bags. Those are the ones I'll keep forever. I sold a small jersey flap a couple years ago and that made me cry [emoji23] but it funded my woc so can't complain.

I'm planning to sell the bow bag and the Marc jacobs single cross body. I don't think I'll miss those. Thought of keeping them for my daughter but at 4 years old she won't even let me pick her clothes so doubt she'll want a bag from me [emoji38]

I have these 12 pictures and a basic leather tote by baggu that I use as a shopper. I have already out for sale a Marc jacobs hobo, a mj little top handle bag and a miu miu slouchy tote. So I think if I can get my collection down to 9 or 10 I'll be good. And then of course that can make room for a new one down the line. [emoji4]

What colors do you have in your bags? I was thinking I like to have different combinations in hardware color. Like a black clutch in both gold and silver hw. Totes in each, etc etc.

Here is current pic of my bags. My red Chanel is missing, also LV artsy, Fendi bag and 1 Bally bag. Also I don't count clutches those are freebies. So I'm currently at 12 bags. Have room to add 3 if needed. I need blue flap bag for collection and a tote.

Very helpful advice I received in the forum when I was downsizing... keep only the bags you love AND use. Let go of the ones you say: "I love her, BUT..." (she's too heavy, too fragile, etc.). Of course you can also keep 1 or 2 for sentimental reasons :)

I vastly prefer my collection now I got down to half the original size.
