B/K box - does it fit handcarry trolley?

Hi, I will have a 1 day layover in Paris in a few weeks.

I think my chance of scoring a B or K is low, but no harm in planning ahead :smile1:.

Would the box of a size 30B or size 32K handbag fit a cabin-sized carry-on luggage? It's the normal rectangular shaped upright carry-on trolley type with wheels, but mine is expandable so it can fit a bit more. But it's definitely the size that airlines allow you to handcarry.

In the (slim chance) I score a bag, wondering if I should refuse the box. I definitely don't want to carry the original paper bag as is.

Thanks to those lucky ones who might have been in this situation before and have insights to share.

14.5cm high x 35.5 cm wide = dimensions of H box that houses my 32 K. I havent tried to fit it in my carry on, but I'd give some clearance on either side so measure your luggage to be safe. I think there are a few reveals where ladies have transported their boxes in a carry on. Nice problem to have I think.

Thanks gixxer. I measured it just now and seems to be a very comfortable fit, with allowance to spare. Great to know!

The birkin boxes are are bigger for a 30 though as I recall. I'm not at home so I can't measure one for you but someone else may be able to supply the measurements for you

ask them to post the box to you if you are keen to keep the box, otherwise can consider sending it to yourself at the post office! i have had empty boxes send back to me, from other H stores in europe. not sure if FSH does the same.

Are you having checked luggage? Couldn't you put the box in the checked luggage filled with clothing and just carry the B30 in the dust bag in your carry on?

my B35 box definitely did not fit in a handcarry. it actually took up 70% of the space in my checked baggage when i flew back from tokyo and the width of the box barely fit my suitcase. i'm not sure the B30 box would be that much smaller...

Hi! I'm starting to plan for a trip to Japan and try my luck in finding my dream B30. I was wondering if the box would fit in the standard checked-in luggage? Can anyone give me the box size for a B30 please?

If I do get lucky and get the B30, I would be uncomfortable carrying the big box at the airport and would prefer it inside the luggage (Well.. just the box inside the luggage, i might be too excited and use the bag!). I always travel on business class so i'm sure i'll have enough baggage allowance, i can also check it in as a fragile item so it wont get crumpled or anything :smile1:
