Sorry for bringing up such an old post, but I was bored and browsing this thread and had no idea they even made a classic city in XL!

I’ve been trying to search around online, and this seems like another elusive bag…not sure if you still have this one but it looks amazing.

I still have the bag! The photo below is from March 2024. I'm so glad I didn't sell the bag when I tried to clear my collection for more closet space. It has softened significantly since I got it in 2017, as you can tell from the sagging. I paired it with Balenciaga Triple S sneakers and their C-Shaped Parka.

I also attached some photos from MyTheresa of the same City XL back from 2017. I was surprised that they finally made the bag in a size as big as the Weekender, but in the same silhouette as the City.

This looks so good! I love the whole look, the blue is a really great compliment to the outfit. Thank you for the photo references, this is definitely on my radar now lol. I would never sell that, I have been searching everywhere and past sales have been like finding a needle in a hay stack.

The XL cities are pretty rare, but they do pop up every once in a while. Just keep an eye out.

It’s so unique seeing the shoulder strap on such a large bag, reminds me of a weekender with a shoulder strap. I’m surprised how rare it is for being a newer bag. Let the hunt begin!

I couldn't resist getting a third Neo Classic bag, this time a large version with the short handles like the one @Deco introduced to me! The colour is called Medium Grey and it's on the warmer side.

I love this bag! Balenciaga calls the leather "extra supple crocodile embossed calfskin", and it does feel more supple than the grained version. When the bag is not stuffed, it almost collapses when set down. It gives this Neo Classic a structure somewhere between the Arena leather City bags and the more structured grained calfskin Neo Classic bags. With the dark silver hardware, I don't have to worry about hardware chipping on the D-rings while using the shoulder strap, unlike on the medium black version I have.

Too bad it looks like Balenciaga is discontinuing the Neo Classic (save for the few Le Cagole versions, which I'm sure will be on their way out soon) now that the City is reissued. I love the trapezoidal shape. I don't usually like a bag enough to get 3 of it!

I’ve never seen this, love it! I really like the croc effect, it must be really cool seeing croc deflate when not stuffed hah. Reminds me of the supple leather on the Saint Laurent Sac De Jour. I like bigger bags, I wish they would make a large city bag again….

I love the new Neo Classic Tote. You got what I call the vampire version, with the worn, distressed smooth leather which I love.

I just posted a Large Neo Classic City in regular black in the finds thread, in case you're interested. Though I know you said you prefer the croc version you already have.

I just posted a Large Neo Classic City in regular black in the finds thread, in case you're interested. Though I know you said you prefer the croc version you already have.

I only prefer the croc version since I already have the large black with the long top handles, but I would love one of these short-handled ones as well. Sadly after conversion, this version would cost as much as it was sold at the Balenciaga outlet in Toronto, and I could have gotten it there with guaranteed authenticity!

Thanks! Yes, the distressed smooth leather is so nice! Really matches the vibe of the City/Neo Classic style.

I couldn't resist taking a photo of it today before going out. The bag is so saggy! It's exactly what I love about the original City bag.



Also, the Defenders (now called Bouncers) are so comfortable. They are even more comfortable than my best running shoes! I was so surprised! They feel like rubber tires as shoes!

I wish this thread had more guys posting their Balenciaga bags. I feel like I'm the only guy posting recently.

I got the new Rodeo last weekend. I also got roses and mooncakes from Lady M New York. Been mulling over getting the Rodeo since I found out that it was released in silver hardware, and now I finally have one! Am absolutely in love with it.


Also included a mod shot of the Rodeo. Wore it out already!
