Average Ring Size

Until now I always thought my size 3.75 - size 4 ring finger is tiny tiny and a bit of a joke......like a kid's ring. Because my knuckle is bigger, I prefer 4 over 3.75, but 4 does make my ring turn when I type. People usually smile or laugh when they examine my tiny ring, which could barely fit into their pinky. Before Purse Forum, I was under the impression size 5 is average. So what's your size out of curiosity?


Btw, I'm happy to hear that I don't have the smallest finger.

A Rep that helped us recently @ Robbins Bros Jeweler's, his gf.. had a size 1 finger.

I know~!... I got the impression that she was an extremely petite lady... luck him though.. 1ct would look humongous on her finger!

My ring finger is 4 1/2 but my middle finger is 6 1/2 (those are the only 2 fingers that I wear rings in)

That's one big advantage of being size 1, all rocks will look big. Lucky!

I don't wear rings on my middle finger. If I do, it would be 4.5. I tried on a 5 and was too loose.

I'm a 5 3/4 (also because of big knuckles), but I usually have to get a 6, which turns, but is doable. My guess is that 7's average since that's what they always carry in the cases.

I believe they're 7 for a reason: for easy sizing I guess. It would be easier to size down than size up.

I'm a UK M-N which is a US 6- 6 1/2 & i'm sooo average most rings fit me (which is lucky )

Being average is definitely a plus.....cuz everything will fit without the hassle of resizing.
