Dear scarf friends - thank you all for your "likes" and supportive comments. I am pleased to report that I have come to my senses and decided to keep this lovely scarf. My mission this season is to get out of my usual color box, so am starting now! I wasn't sure what to make of this colorway until someone mentioned in an unrelated post the word "autumnal" - that is a good word to describe how wearing this scarf makes me feel. Frankly I have nothing else that does that in my collection, and autumn approaches. I will enjoy wearing this with denim, gray, taupe, cream, and what better excuse to add to my collection of cranberry-colored pieces, which numbers exactly one right now. Cheers!
Good to hear this! Glad if we all helped you. It's beautiful.

Everything about this scarf is a dream, including the red contrast hem! I don’t think I’ll have access to it since I’m not in Singapore. Bummed, but this totally validated my spur of the moment purchase of a Jaguar Quetzal on eBay last night. Silver lining!

Good for you, Langsam! You are talking about La Danse des Amazones in cw 01, right? Because I really like it on you and am using your mod shots to decide if I want it. So many scarves, so little.....
