Hi designer sleuths! I bought these pre-loved Chanel pumps the other day (no box, at the swap meet from a guy who was selling all designer items) and now I’m having my doubts since there is no serial number inside and I can’t seem to find this style online. Can someone help me authenticate it please?

Shoes are authentic. They are circa the 1980s or maybe earlier.

I am a personal friend of Manolo. I know his business practices and who he does and does not sell to. He is a privately owned company.
Yes, that is correct. We do not purchase from Manolo. However, we purchase from boutiques that purchase from Manolo. Which makes the items we sell authentic...So suggesting that the Manolos are counterfeit is actually defamation...

I just went back to the BBB website and your company has had other issues in addition to authenticity. As I'd previously stated, people can read the BBB complaints and company review and make their own determination if they want to do business with you. The BBB has given your company an F rating given the nature and number of complaints.
Yes, we do have complaints on the BBB...and those items are from 2017...In 2016 and 2017, we had some authenticity issues with some wholesalers we worked with. That was 5-6 years ago. Since then, we have been only working with authorized boutiques. So it is literally impossible for an item to be counterfeit when you shop with us...

If you think it's not defamation for you to act as an authenticator on a major public forum and say that a legitimate company that only sells authentic sells counterfeit, then you are only fooling yourself. Just because you say it's an opinion does not make it any less defamation...

There are excellent counterfeits out there that are almost mirror image, of almost everything. If you're not buying directly from Manolo, then you really can't be sure that what you're being sold is always authentic. That's just the nature of the fashion industry today.

An opinion is an opinion and you clearly state that you have sold counterfeit product in the past unknowingly so you have sold inauthentic product. You should work with BBB to get your record straightened out. Anyone who checks out those reports has a legit reason to be concerned. I have no idea what you are selling today but good to know that you are being conscientious.

You’ve got complaints on a fake Prada from 2021 Regardless of when it was purchased which seems to be more recent than 2017. That’s fine that you now realize that you were not buying from legit sources and are now very careful but rather than come down on people trying to help other FOR FREE would it not be best to start working on cleaning up your reputation on the internet rather than being upset here?

BTW opinions here are just opinions. We are NOT paid authenticators on this forum.

Yes there may be excellent counterfeits out there...which is why I only purchase from authorized boutiques that purchase directly from Manolo. All the companies that I sell, including Manolo...they are coming from the brand, to the boutique, to me. No other hands are involved. The boutiques that I work would be equivalent to boutiques in the US such as Hirshleifers. Saks. Neimans. If Saks was one of the boutiques that sold to me, and I only worked with that boutique...would you say that the Manolo I purchased from Saks could be counterfeit? Because this is the only way I source my inventory.

I have been in this business long enough. I know how the fashion industry works...which is why I only work this way...

So realize that you do not know everything about this industry and you should be a little more careful spreading lies about my company that actually does cause financial damage.

It’s presumptuous for you to say I don’t know the industry. Because you don’t know who I am.

I just scrolled back and told the gal those 2 pair of Blahnik’s were authentic. So I’m completely mystified about your complaints.

This drama is out of context with this thread so please reserve it for the other thread that is about Amuze.

Please post photos of interior and exterior stitching, interior label, where all seams made, the sole, you can refer to the first post of the first page of this thread for more details on photos we need. From what you’ve posted, I’m unsure of authenticity so absolutely need more photos.
