Hi everyone, newbie here! Although I've checked out these forums soooo many times but never actually needed to become a member until now!

My friend has given me first refusal on a Prada bag she is selling - hardly used at all and in immaculate condition. I believe it is the Vernice Bowler bag as she is not sure as she bought it over a year ago now. She is going to locate the authenticity cards for me as she needs to have a hunt for them! But I am as certain as I can be that the bag is genuine. I have been shopping with her when she has bought Mulberry bags and other Prada bags from Selfridges and other boutiques and she never, ever buys fakes as far as I'm aware. She's on a very decent salary - one I'm quite jealous of, I'll add!

She has let me have the bag for a few days before I decide whether to buy to see if I like it or not, as I usually go for shoulder bags instead of top handle bags. However, I do love the bag and am strongly considering buying it. I just want to be 100% sure it is genuine before I do as I am not familiar with Prada at all. The designer bags I usually buy are either Mulberry or Balenciaga.

I've attached some images. The only thing that worries me is that the lettering on the main logo of the bag is slightly crooked - the D looks to be a tiny bit lower than the other letters. And the 'Prada Made In Italy' label inside the internal pocket is made from strong plastic and not metal, and I've read on other sites that this label should always be metal. I'm not sure if this has always applied or if it only applies to recent bags or what!

Can anyone help me out here? Much appreciated!

I'd suggest refusing: it's fake...

Would you ladies authenticate this for me, please? Thank you in advance!

#1: Fake.

#2: Need lots and lots more pics of the details.

Could you let me know how you can tell? I need something to back this up, since she wants me to sell it on eBay for her if I don't want it, but I don't want to do this if it is indeed fake as I could very possibly get banned for selling fake merchandise.

We don't give out details. Let's just say EVERYTHING about that bag is wrong. I'd suggest running it through the first incinerator or shredder you (or your friend) can find.

Are you sitting down? The photos are definitely an authentic Gaufre. That being said, I'd still ask the seller for another picture (doesn't matter what it is, just a picture) from the bag. You want to be sure this person has the bag in their possession. You have a hugely desirable item here and what looks to my eye to be shill bidding (though they could just be trying to get the reserve met). Either way you want to be sure they have this bag. And expect a battle for this one. It could easily top out at or over 1K.

Thank you!!!!

It was so close to the auction end that the seller really didn't have a chance to respond so I just took a chance. Will post photos when it arrives.

Hi Ladies! Again your comment please?

Please let me know if these worth asking for pics for authentication :D

Thanks sooooo much!

Something weird going on with your links - they all go back to the same fake. Checking out the sellers gives me no confidence in any Prada any of them are selling either. Low feedback, few photos and Hong Kong!!?? - who knows what you'd get. The third one I'm not familiar with but the absence of good and plentiful photos is a bad sign.

Wld appreciate if anyone can tell me the name of these 2 prada bags. Is it still selling in the boutique?

Thanks
