Hello Prada experts! Need your advice, I’m planning to bid on this bag but not sure if it’s authentic…the pictures are quite detailed and clear, but let me know if you need more pics… thank you for any help! :smile1:

Item: Prada Vitello Shine Bowler Nocciolo Bauletto
Listing number: model no. BL0582 (ebay item number 200419232804)
Seller: janel6775 (Australia)

Further to Longchamps posting on this one - seller got REALLY narky when I asked a few questions about it. Said she is a tPFer; that she'd bought it on ebay from a tPF member (July 09); and that she'd had it AUTHENTICATED (if you don't mind) by the manager of the Prada store at Melbourne Crown Casino. And has now blocked me (via evilbay) from contacting her any further. Alarm bells ringing yet??!!

EDIT!! I've been doing some digging. I think she bought the bag from the seller bagsginaord item #140328199297 for USD$835 in July. Now, I know of this seller because she had a bag listed a few weeks ago that I was VERY interested in and she noted in her listing she is a tPF member (actually very infrequent and last visited over 12 mths ago IIRC). But I've checked a few of her other items and they all seemed legit. This bag I don't know. I don't think the pics are great and it's not a bag I am familiar with anyway.

Hi guys,

I recently "won" this Prada bag and I'm really thinking it's fake now. But before I return it, I want to make absolutely sure. Can someone please confirm it's authenticity? TIA!

Can you post direct pics. I find Photobucket a real PITA to view. it's very easy to do...click on "direct link" and then paste it using the funny "envelope & stamp" symbol in your reply message ;)

This bag is authentic, guys... At least the photos in the listing are of an authentic bag.

Hello,

I forgot....here is the info. Either I am the lucky winner of a replica or I got the real thing. Thank you in advance.

Dear Ise, Prada Psycho or missfiggy,

I filed a Paypal claim on the above fake Prada, but I need a letter from the experts stating it is not authentic. Could one of you help me? I will pay you. If you need more pics, please let me know.

Thank you so much!

There is a thread on this same topic ATM. See How to Officially Authenticate? :smile1:

ETA: I forgot to say that you should make sure you print out, AND save as a web archive, all of the seller's pics (BTW did they ever explain how the cards don't match the bag?). If you Google the bag style # and Prada then you will find yourself at a tonne of knock off websites with other pics of the bag as shown in the seller's pics.

HTH & good luck.

Thanks so much for all the good advice. :D I didn't ask the seller about the card being inconsistent with the bag - I didn't give her any hints as to why I thought it was fake. I don't know why ebay continues to let her list these fakes! ebay is becoming less and less reliable. I'm still wanting a Prada....who is safe to shop with?

Item Name: Prada waist bag

I purchased this awhile back and I was just wondering if it was authentic. Thank you!

Good idea. As for reputable retailers, see here: Reputable Prada Retailers :smile1:

There are some very trustworthy eBay sellers who sell Prada. Don't let this put you off!

I saw this lovely bag on wardow.com, here is the link. Could you ladies authenticate this for me? I don't remember seeing this style anywhere in the United States but could it be a different style in Europe? Thanks.

Wardow is legit. This bag was available in the States AFAIK. Maybe not in that colour but definitely in camello (I believe). Very nice bag. You have good taste :p

Actually I remember seeing one just like this for sale on eBay a few months ago. The seller only wanted $500 IIRC. Gorg. Should have bought it...
Here it is in "camel" from Wardow site:
